The end times for the Hellcat Platform is tough to watch. I remember when they initially released the Hellcat in the Challenger. A 707hp car!!! What a glorious thing. Then the Charger, Trackhawk, and Durango followed. And of course Ram gave Ford the ultimate middle finger with the TRX in 2021. Of all the platforms I’ve experienced and studied on line, the Hellcat has always come out on top as my favorite. I’m not a Super Car guy, nor am I a luxury brand guy. I need a vehicle that is comfortable as a daily driver, as well as tow the boat, take me to the woods, and deal with crappy winter roads. Honestly I’m lucky to have my 2021 TRX. The $20,000 price increase between it and 2023 makes the truck too expensive to justify (it was hard to justify as it was).
My hope is Ram can find a way to continue the TRX, maybe with some sort of hybrid setup (the new hybrid Corvette with AWD is impressive)? I just hate watching what’s happening to vehicles. The soul of vehicles are being stripped away right in front of us.
