I just completed my order for my TRX from Granger Motor in Iowa. I am all smiles at this point. I have read so many posts on this forum about remaining calm and patient. Though I do have a few questions regarding extended warranty and EVTS. I am planning to purchase and install a RAVELCO along the route home.

Congrats on the order! You are in good hands and hopefully quickly in a good truck!

Congratulations on your order, the wait is definitely worth it!
Cheers.

Thank you all for your kind words and humor. I know that I will need them.

Congratulations !
I ordered from Granger on September 1st and it went into production January 19th. So far Granger has been great with all communication so far. I figure I’ll have another month or 2 until I get to pick it up.

It is great to hear from someone who ordered from Granger too. I have a few questions for you: 1) Are you planning on driving your vehicle back to California or having it shipped? 2) Did you buy or planning on buying an extended warranty? If so, what was the cost and extended coverage time? 3) Did you order and install Ram Power Steps through Granger? If, so, what was the total cost, steps and installation price quoted? In addition, it is great to see another California Trx owner.

Ordered mine dec 30th we might get ours at the same time. I think the best bet would be to have it shipped to california (im in cali as well) because the break in period is 55mph max for the first 100 miles i believe and i don’t think pure highway miles all the way back to cali is good for the break in period. i may be wrong but that’s my two cents. Congrats btw

I also bought my TRX out of state and brought back to Cali. I got mine from Dan Cummins in KY though and I drive it all the way back... now the bad news... I took my truck in to the dealership for service over the weekend and it STOLEN from service.. the broke in and took my keys from the lockbox. I highly recommend getting the IGLA installed... The Ravelco is nice but since I left it at service I would have also left my Ravelco Key so my truck would have still been stolen. The IGLA would have allowed me to issue service a temp pin I believe which would have saved me...

I’ll probably drive it back. Granger said I would need to be there to take delivery even if I had it shipped. My experience with shipping cars has been a situation where the shipping broker had a 2-3 day window to pick up when you schedule it.
I haven’t bought an extended warranty and I’m undecided on steps. I like the rock chip protection of a fixed step but I don’t like the look. I’m leaning towards the sliders from Rocky Road Outfitters.

Thank you for that tip on the IGLA. I am sorry to hear that your TRX was stolen. I know how much these trucks mean to us here. The wait can be just overbearing. I hope that you are able to order another before the "last call" happens and the prices get out of control.

Congrats! Another recommendation to check out IGLA too before making a decision re: Security

I thought a RAVELCO was a for sure item, now I am reconsidering the IGLA.

It is either or

Tech is different on the IGLA - it uses a code and no physical fob (but it has the option if you want a fob).

Advantage is stolen keys =/= stolen truck..

I will have to do further research on the IGLA. I have been heavily tilted toward the RAVELCO for so long, I have really have not given any other system a chance. YOUTUBE here I come!!
