HOT! Win $72.22 by guessing maiden voyage MPG

Hello RAM-TRX community. As a small sign of my appreciation for this group I'd like to propose a fun 'contest'. On Saturday (7/2/22) I will be flying to Lexington to pickup up my '22 TRX from Dan Cummins (Georgetown). I'll immediately head west towards Central Nebraska and drive approximately 855 miles over the next two days. I'll do my best to follow the break in procedure and once that is completed I plan to stay within 5 mph of the posted speed limit (up or down depending on traffic). Mileage will be hand calculated based on actual gallons used and miles driven. Mileage will be rounded to the nearest tenth. Each person who would like to partake can respond with their MPG prediction below. Format should include a tenth (11.7 or 13.2 for example). Once an estimate is used it can't be used again so pay attention to previous predictions.

Once I get back and calculate the total I'll post it along with the winner. I'll then get in contact with the winner and coordinate payment of their $72.22 (7/2/22).

Thank you again for all your assistance and knowledge. I'm very excited to get to Dan Cummins and start the journey!
By the way, I love the fact that you are putting this on. I haven't been this competitive/calculating over ~$20 in quite some time. Enjoy the drive and I don't have to tell you to enjoy the truck, it will take care of that.

OP , 855 miles is only a day of driving tbh.
if you do it in 2 it has to be a slow drive at 14+ mpg

Probably won't get out of the dealership until 3 PM. And that assumes flights are on time which is anyone's guess.

And I'm not a fan of driving at night in a new vehicle. I had a bad experience previously.

Should be interesting if you are

I think numbers are gonna depend largely on how proficient of a driver you are. We just don’t know. 15s for 800 miles is very doable for highway driving but if you are going 75 probably 14s is more realistic on highway, but you wanna exercise the full rpm range during certain breakin stages that puts you in the 13s. All that can shift drastically either way depending on your driving style, experience, weight and terrain. I doubt anyone can beat my numbers either way. Dune numbers are atrocious 🤣

12.3 enjoy the drive!

All those factors are just part of the fun! And don't forget about the weather. Here in the Midwest we can get strong head or cross winds which will certainly have an impact on that MPG number.

You can stop by in Gretna and I’ll validate your numbers!
