For topping off, the pre-mix (68163849AB) is definitely the way to go. But a drain/flush/fill of both systems on the truck would take the better part of 6 gallons. That’ll be when I buy the concentrate.
I get it. He probably doesn’t read the part about not drinking the stuff either.I paid about half of that for mine, so paying extra for diluted coolant wouldn't be an issue.
Heck, I know a guy with an Ecodiesel (there's one strike already) who can't quite comprehend how to mix the coolant and water 50/50. It's probably because of people like him the the mixed stuff even exists.
In my case, the normal coolant takes up a lot less space, should all four 6.2s suddenly need some.
I keep a gallon or so of the coolants I use already mixed and ready to go. Works for topping off.For topping off, the pre-mix (68163849AB) is definitely the way to go. But a drain/flush/fill of both systems on the truck would take the better part of 6 gallons. That’ll be when I buy the concentrate.

For complete refills I mix it as I go.
Be careful buying filters on Amazon. Lots of fakes there. Also got some more oil and filters, all on the mopar amazon store.
These are the same ones ive bought in the past and the oil. Thank you thoughBe careful buying filters on Amazon. Lots of fakes there.
If the seller is one of the well known Ram dealers selling on Amazon you should be fine.
Interesting that the part number is not compatible with our TRXs according to Mopar. For topping off, the pre-mix (68163849AB) is definitely the way to go. But a drain/flush/fill of both systems on the truck would take the better part of 6 gallons. That’ll be when I buy the concentrate.
It would be more interesting if their parts catalog was correct honestly. Even taking the concentrate part number right from the factory service manual is “not compatible”, and then their site tries to sell me a radiator instead.Interesting that the part number is not compatible with our TRXs according to Mopar.

Thanks guys. Just picked up my Lunar Edition with 8k miles and the coolant is just below minimum level on both reservoirs. Want to get the right stuff so I can monitor if I have a leak.

You always put it into both holesI feel as if this is a dumb questions, but I need to know so it is what it is. When topping off coolant levels, which one should I pour into? The smaller one on the left or the larger one on the right? (NOTE: the picture attached is not mine)
In theory the dealership would top those off if they were doing their PDI….A lot of the trucks are coming from the factory with the coolant levels a little low. My I/C tank was just below the minimum line. I had to add a few ounces to get the level between min and max. It's been a few months now and the level hasn't changed.
I was just showing my coolant levels there. Many engines get warmer after being shut off.
No, there's no new heat being generated, but there's also much less cooling.
That drop is over 1 1/2 yr +- and 8,000 +- miles if that means anything? My top off coolant will be here Thursday so i will fill it and monitor. I cant say that the ground where it was parked is exactly level either, not much around here is. I need to find a good, level place “in town” and make that my go to fluid checking spot!If you are "topping off" either reservoir on a regular basis, you have a leak. I filled mine to a level between min-max when cold, then marked the level with a Sharpie. I noticed they would move around a bit depending on the engine temps, but never dropped dramatically. If you notice a significant drop, get your truck to the dealership for a diag. Best case you have a small supercharger IC leak and you get a new blower. Worst case is the coolant going through the engine scores the cylinder walls and your engine is trash.
I would still mark the level and keep an eye on it. I hear ya on the height of the hood when its opened, I am 6'-1" and still had to reach for it! I got my Gorilla ladder yesterday and its awesome! Also a little one for the back of the truck. Ill never forget the time early on when i opened the hood (for some reason) and then stood there looking at it wondering htf i was going to close it! Thank G i seem to attract tall people, along came someone and helped me out! I now cary a fishing gaff in the bed of the truck.
I usually think of myself as unlucky but so many times when out and about i do seem to find help when i least expect it.
I think this coolant is the same for the Charger. Same oil and oil filter too!
Thank you very much!
