What next after TRX...

I wanna say it so bad but I know you're all going to throw tomatoes at me

So it's going to last forever?
Never said that, life can happen but hell if you can turn wrenches don't see why it won't last until we join the dinosaurs!

I bought a 2023 2500 Rebel - hated it and sold it within 6 months. Found an unaccounted for 2024 Sequoia TRD Pro - didn't like the motor at all, albeit powerful, and the quality of the interior was crap - rattles all over and heard that's typical. Long story longer, bought another new TRX on July 6th this year. I wish I never sold my 22 and wasted the thousands.

But only own it under warranty.
Not even worth it then. I used to be a range rover tech, they required pretty much some kind of software update monthly. Brand new suvs with check engine lights on because it needed software updates. Then there was the coolant pipe under the superchargers that they decided to make out of plastic to save some pennies, they always cracked and broke and leaked coolant everywhere. Was only about an hour and a half to fix, but warranty paid like 4.5 hours, customer pay was like 6(new engine after engine overheated=$30k+ back in 2018)

I've probably wasted spent an extra 100k just swapping vehicles over the past 8 to 10 years that I could have in my pocket if didn't trade so often. Traded at least once a year, sometimes twice! But this TRX is a keeper for a good while. :) May still trade one of my others though since there ain't nothing better than that new car smell :)

For those going from a TRX to a non R Raptor it will be a weeks purchase, and you will be bored hating the decision. My neighboor is the type that buys and sells especulating price drops and sold his TRX be bought because of me and in 3 days was crying to me about the mistake. Started looking to buy another and said wouldn't pay new prices which I told him were going to be stupid high.

Once you get used to these supercharged V8 trucks you won't be satisfied with much unless it tops it in some aspects. Forget Tundras, they look nice but are average.
Unless you are a daily commutter looking to drop gas costs or looking for a work truck which the TRX isn't, only option would be an SUV like previous comments here suggested. Lots of fast ones with top notch attributes. As far as payments going down...good luck

Can Raptor R’s be had at MSRP or are they all marked up like 20k still?

If you watch the Raptor forum it seems $5,000 to $10,000 ADM is a “good deal.” When comparing the R to a TRX at MSRP, the R may be the better truck. But if you’re paying $10,000 or more over sticker, I just don’t see the same argument that makes the R a better vehicle.

LOL !! I rather drive a camry

That's still at least $20-30k more for a move to R from TRX, which I do not think is worth it.
A 2024 Ram TRX fully loaded which matches the options on a R is over $120k MSRP now. Comparing a used TRX or no option one to an R really isn’t equivalent.

I have a fully loaded 23 with 10k miles and that's what I am comparing against.

What I would probably be driving if a trx was never made.
Wife choice. 22 ram 1500 black widow.
My choice. Loaded 22 rebel with 4 corner air suspension 5.7 hemi.

What I think I would want after having a trx. But then it was no longer possible.
Durango hc. G wagon. Audi rsq8.

LOLOL No I would never.

@04Ram2500Hemi had me right with the ... _ _ _
The RHO will probably be a fantastic vehicle. The trade off is the Hurricane for the Hellcat. It’s not going to be a slouch in the performance department, but it won’t have Hellcat performance. I look forward to honest reviews of the truck, and an honest side by side comparison to the TRX.

The out of pocket difference is what makes the R vs TRX argument tough. The R at best is MSRP, while the 2024 TRX can be found heavily discounted. At MSRP both stack up similarly, which is why I said the R may be the better vehicle. But when one is north of $120,000 and the other can be had for $100,000 or less, is the R that much better?
