Broke in what way? That doesnt look broke. No clue what it is though! Ive never opened that part

It’s the world’s strangest push retainer. Left side tip broke off and fell down into the body. Right side I pry’d out. Guess it’s there to help hold the carpet backer to the body. I just replaced it with some standard push retainers I had in the tool box.

What’s the purpose of the loop above the clip?

Car seat tether. You run the strap through a similar loop above the other seat and then over to that middle one. Once secured, you insert toddler. And they spill a bunch of cheese puffs and spit all over your interior. At least that’s how it works on mine.
