Weight

This kid beats the CEO of Stellantis for most punchable face in the world. Clip is infuriating on so many levels of absurdity 😤
He's really going to love it if the thing flips at speed!

I bet there's a 90-100 pounds to be saved in removing the spare and jack. Probably significant weight saved in an aftermarket exhaust, too. Maybe if you're antisocial and buddies with the voices in your head, pull the front passenger seat and speakers. That's probably a bunch of weight.

Do not remove the skid plates.........those provide the under carriage aerodynamics required for sustained high speed. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

BTW......how much do you weigh????? With obesity rates at 40%+, odds are you could benefit from the carnivore diet. Jus say'n....

Just take Ozempic 🇺🇲

Why? Just removing the skid plates isn't going to make the truck measurably quicker and certainly not faster with the speed limiter still there.

Speaking of the speed limiter, the TRX can hit it's speed limiter quicker (by far) than any vehicle I've ever own. I mean 0 to 118 in a TRX can be done in ~1/3 mile and ~15 secs.
The question was raised for those carrying cargo and those towing with a hitch weight that puts the gvwr over by a few pounds. Yes, I realise the truck will handle it. You never know when a warranty claim will be denied because the truck gvwr was over by 12 pounds.
I heard of a Chevy owner having a travel trailer that was 200 lbs over what the truck was rated at for the need of trailer brakes.... denied

Do the dealers have scales precise enough to see a 12 lb. excess...if someone shows up with the load still in the bed or trailer still attached?

The trailer tale I can kinda understand. Those manufacturers lie through their teeth about the empty weight, and they guy might possibly have had a load in/on the trailer at some point.
