My estimated ship date has change 3 times in the last 3 days, first it was 8/7, yesterday it was 8/10, and dealer text me today now is 8/11.

Very irritating....

I couldn't get them to give me an estimated date

Don't know if I had rather been lied to or kept in the dark

Going to happen when it does, but I sure will be excited to get my truck.

I was never handed a ship date. But if it’s something they give you before the truck is even built, forget it. Just PM me, I’ll make one up for you and it’ll be just as accurate.

Normally my dealer has called me when there's been a change in status, but this time the sales guy was too busy to get a chance to do it. For the most part.

And it still showed up. Heck, I even won the official race against 04Ram2500hemi. Maybe because I didn't call the dealer, or ever contact chat?

Now, if in another life I would be unfortunate enough to end up working as a Stellantis customer service rep, I could see myself taking one of two approaches.
Either I'd do what I could to get a "daily caller" to get his/her vehicle to stop bugging me, or...

Knowing me, I'd be more likely to try my best to delay the process. "Hmm, I can see that this guy has pestered us just about every day for the past four weeks. I think I'll call my buddy at the plant and ask him a favor".
"Hey Paul, it's Jeff. Could you please do me a favor and make something happen to 811XXX? Nothing serious, but do make it delayed for a week or so". "Great! Thanks, Paul".

For you guys' sake, and mine, I sure hope I never end up with that job.

If I know the same people within Stellantis in that life as I do now, I probably could pull it off.
But you're right. As it is, they just enjoy picking random canned answers until quitting time, each and every day.

Ours had a ship date of 7/12/21, which was my wife’s birthday, so I thought that was cool, since it’ll be mostly her truck. That passed, then it was 7/29/21, then 7/30/21. Now, it’s at the rail yard. We’ll see when we finally get to pick it up. Hopefully soon.

I'M IN PAINT!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT!! After 4 months of dream crushing, I don't even know what to do with myself now. I've ordered every accessory I need, I've cleared out the garage, I've read every thread on TRX's on the interwebs, and now I just have to wait for Jeff to tighten all the bolts and carry that badass bitch to the train! I guess I could read the manual to pass the time....

I was told today I was in Frame status, Then my dealer said it went back to D1 and just had a chat with Ram and its still D1

I am still in D1 for now.
I did get my painted mirror caps in this week. I guess I can start rubbing those.

I really want a set but know 100% I’ll break a mirror (or two) installing “by the book”. Will assess the situation when I get the truck. Hoping I will be able to work around taking the glass out. Seems like the clips would be accessible by moving the mirror around. The screw, not sure. Might be able to just break the old one off the screw and rely on only the clips for the new one.

It seems pretty straight forward for sure. I saw a few videos of it, you can push the mirror all the way down and get your fingers or a plastic trim tool in there to press in the center of the mirror while you pull. Some folks even have used a small screwdriver to help pry it out.

I went with black mirror caps on me white truck. I don't like the white ones for some reason.
