Valet mode

Have a question for the group. I recently used Valley mode on my 21 TRX. I was not able to turn it off even though I’m sure I have the code correct. Turns out this is a thing for 21’s. Easy enough, I did a battery disconnect for 10 minutes. Problem solved BUT many things no longer available - can’t do custom mode, my seat warmers have 2 levels instead of 3 (medium is missing) - strange. Does it need some kind of update now?

Cool - thanks - definitely troublesome - not only can a valet turn off valet mode in 10 minutes but now it sounds like an old Porsche 928s I had - electronic gremlins !!

Also very interested in this since the 22s have UConnect5 vs. UConnect4 on the 21s. I just learned the other day that setting "Valet mode" on the Ram app isn't the same as setting "Valet Mode" from UConnect in the truck

Ok, 24 hours later I start it up and it’s all fixed - I guess it has some sort of reset sequence or gets a download? Got me but it’s fixed now.

This tracks. If you have a Tazer DT, the instructions always direct you to perform (a) a full reboot and (b) 2 full sleep cycles to ensure any changes are fully saved. My guess is your truck met that criteria overnight

That’s just the way they are. You can expect this behavior anytime you disconnect the battery

Now that it’s all fixed, I gotta say that the TRX on valet mode is kinda like a Ford Raptor with a nice interior and great exhaust sound!

I had the same issue on my 21. The only thing I didn’t know was whether or not as i was skimming across the screen did it register a number I didn’t want and then i couldn’t get it off. But like above a battery disconnect fixed the issue.

Valet mode on the app only notifies you when the vehicle travels more than 1/4 mile from the point it was activated. Full power is still available.

Valet mode from the Uconnect-5 screen decreases horsepower.
