Uconnect® 5 Nav with 12.0-Inch Touch Screen Display Problems

S24.13 latest on a 2022 TRX. Downloaded two weeks ago by UConnect tech support. Requires a factory reset in the settings menu. You loose your phone connection and radio presets but nothing else is changed. Fixed all my UConnect issues.

Thank you, that is the version I am on. It must have downloaded when I was backpacking in Colorado for 11 days. I guess the real question why are they always saying you need to do a factory rest after every update? This seems a bit ridiculous to me since every time you do this, you lose every saved favorite group or song that is stored as favorites in Sirius / XM. They advertise that this is so seamless and easy, and every time requires work on our end. Quite honestly, I am not really having any issues going on right now. The only exception is the weather App, and the gas station prices on the navigation screen take a few minutes once the truck is running to show data. Ram Connect said it should happen right away as soon as you turn the truck on, however, I really do not think they know what they are talking about. What are your thoughts on this issue? I would appreciate any input.

Depends on how you store your truck. In my garage at night first drive takes a minute or two for traffic and weather to populate.
Parked outside almost instant on restart. I think it's using the built in 4G LTE service for UConnect services.

Anyone having issues connecting CarPlay, some times it can take up to 20 min before my CarPlay connects, it sucks. And, at regular intervals, my music will fade as if the Nav voice is going to speak, and then nothing (and I don't have anything mapped either) - this happens EVERY TIME I am in the truck.

Disconnect battery for 10-15 min. Everything will reboot when reconnected. May or may not work, but it’s what I would do.

My “Apps” soft button on the bottom right side will not bring up the apps page. It flickers like it is going to, but then stays on whatever screen I was currently using. All other functions work, just not that damn button.

Hold your finger over it and drag the icon to another location. See if it works there.

That worked @HeliPilot! Moved the apps icon over one spot, and it worked. Moved it back to original spot and still works. Thanks so much!
