My order has been stuck pending final Inspection for couple weeks now. ETA showed 7/12 yesterday on ram tracker. Now shows June 29th but in dealerconnect it shows In System-Unit is pending final Inspection status date 6-3-23
This happen to anyone else?

The whole tracking is not the most accurate and not always updated in a timely manner either. Sit tight - could be anything, or could be nothing. Hope you get it soon.

Yes. Mine was ordered 11/25/2022. For a period of time (about a month?) the estimated delivery date showed 5/25/2023. As that date neared, the delivery date changed to “TBD”. And it still shows TBD. The dealer’s system shows the truck to be “built” and in “I” (waiting for inspection). It’s been in that state for 4-6weeks now.

I asked Ram Cares if they could provide some truthful explanation as to what problem was found or what the hold-up is being caused by. They had a US Customer Care rep start a case. Thus far this rep contacted me via email one time, telling me nothing I didn’t already know, and has not replied to my follow up questions. I’m guessing it must be company policy not to share such information with a customer(?). If that’s the case then just tell me that. I sort of expected as much from reading other people’s stories.

Since I’m not knowing what the problem actually is, believe me, I can imagine all kinds of problems that are likely worse than the truth. I’m nearing the point where the anticipation of a new truck’s arrival is wearing off, and if not for the $1K we put down on it, would consider forgetting about it.

hoping mine does not take that long, Ive ordered a Trx before and took no where near this long

I sat in “I” status for 61 days. It is definitely not the norm but it happens.

Were you given any explanation what caused this?

We’re you given any explanation what caused
I had two of my orders sit in inspection for 30+ days. You need to have a connection or know someone at the plant that can tell you why. First truck had a damaged instrument cluster. Second truck I wasn’t told but the only thing I saw was a shit ton of silicone spray on one of the posts of the rear headrests . It can be something simple as that, a missing part, damaged part, or a leak. One of the reasons that contributes to the lengthy inspection time is that the trucks are brought over to a storage lot and will sit there until they are ready to be brought back to the plant to be repaired.

I was in the exact same position, and was to the point of not even caring if it ever got done or not. I ordered 11/23, got built on 04/26 and then stayed in inspection status for 44 days before it finally got finished and 'shipped' on 06/10. Which in my case meant sitting in the Toledo shipping yard for for almost three weeks before it finally got on a load to Granger(thanks to me). It's supposed to be delivered today and we'll see... Just hold tight, it will happen!

Glad to hear yours is happening! Hopefully it arrives with no indications of being reworked. Congrats!

Whats the easiest way to get in touch with someone who can provide information on what's going on with my truck that inspection takes a month?

I never was able to get any information on what needed to be corrected.. It eventually got fixed and moved on to the body shop for decals, etc..

Well....I just called the carrier and when I gave them my vin they asked me "is this in relation to the claim?".. Looks like the dealer has filed a claim against the carrier for some sort of shipping damage. I have no idea how minor or major it is. I've sent an email to the dealer asking if they could let me know what it was. Hopefully, it's something minor.. I think all this extra information we now kind-of have access to is both a blessing and a curse. This is the first vehicle I've ordered since my 1994 Ford Ranger. Back then, all I knew was it was ordered, then a couple of months later, it was delivered. Who knows if it sat in inspection or had shipping damage...

If it wasn't for triple_B's updates I really wouldn't know what's going on. The dealer doesn't always remember to let me know when the status has been updated.

So here we are, with a build sheet showing on 4-25, for an order placed on 11-29-22. The dealer told me early this week that it had gone from inspection to KZLD, which supposedly is some kind of long term storage/delay.

There's nothing I can do about it, but it'll be interesting to see if this one will beat my previous record of four months and eight days (for a Challenger) from build date to delivery. Time will tell.

Ha...mine was in Inspection for 2 months. Ordered in early October...STILL isn't here. Finally shipped on June 4th but no ETA on actual delivery. The whole process is a complete mess. Stellantis has their head all the way up their ass as far as I'm concerned. It's beyond a monkey fucking a football.
