TRX' Return

Would love to see the return of the trackhawk. And maybe a baby trx with twin turbo or 6.4L.
I know it's purely a subjective thing, but I think the current gen GC's are hideous compared to the older WK2 model. I bought a 2018 TH two years ago and other than the ridiculous motor, it was the overall aesthetics that really caught my eye when they came out: Very stylish design that almost looks like a Range Rover Evoque if you squint ;)
Even if a new TH were to emerge with a refreshed hellcat under the hood, I'd be quite to content to stick with mine. (Mainly because it's paid for...;) )

Still love my truck. If they bring back the TRX what I'd love for them to do is a 1500 AND 2500 model so we can get one with increased payload and towing. Much more practical, but still fast AF.
Agreed.
I bought a '24 Final Edition last year off the lot for just under MSRP. It was worth it just to get a new hellcat powered super Truck that hadn't been abused or hooned upon.
Fast forward to the present and it's looking like that edition isn't quite as "final", but we didn't know what we didn't know at the time and I wanted to get one before they were extinct (or illegal to buy in my State)
I don't regret my choice :)
If a new TRX is on the horizon with "more power" and whatnot, so be it. I still have a rather kick ass superTruck and it wouldn't take much to mod it for more power if I felt it needed it.
(Although, if they release a full-on Demon/RedEye TRX, I might lose a nights sleep or two in contemplation...)

Prediction:
It will not be called a TRX. It will have a derivative name in the hopes of not pissing off the last call peeps.
It will be a Redeye motor.
It will have an updated driveline and Tcase.
It will have the Powerline ZF transmission.
It will be north of the 100k mark.

I doubt as the TRX name is its best selling attribute. Stellantis won't care about the "Final Edition" fiasco because of what they already did to Durango HC owners- they can also say hemi production was dead indeed with mandates that no longer exist and sales reflect ICE is what people want.

I also don't think a Redeye powertrain would be enough change or bang to beat the R as they probably want.
To nail Ford to their grave forever they should bring a new TRX 600lbs lighter with the Hellephant engine. Would love to see Ford rebute that.

Insiders already leaking details so it should be fun in the next few months. Some say 2 versions will come out, a regular HC and a possessed Demon 170 one.
Read somewhere pricing might start at $100k for the regular HC "peasant" version. The 170 will probably start at $130k. A regular RAM these days is $100k.
Can't wait to see what dealers will do with "market pricing adjustments".
The first Demon 170's sold north of $300k

Hellephant or DC1500 and 100k price tag fully loaded that's how they save the brand and sell more trucks than ever!
I think they will save that DC1500 as a final response to Ford after the Demon TRX lol.
Maybe RAM should offer a parachute option for that TRX 😆

Having been in this forum for a while I can remember the best times here were when Ford was planning a response to the TRX from the V6 shitbox.
That time is coming back now with the surprise being on RAMS side.
Ford takes their "crown" in trucks very seriously and based on how much fun RAM poked at them at the TRX launch, I truly think they are already thinking on a possible response to the new TRX.

All of this thanks to Tim Kuniskis, man that guy should never retire or the market will become a bore fest.

They can put it the new APEX TRX! Full carbon fiber body upgraded frame suspension DC1500 the works. Really tell ford who the King of the road the dirt and every other surface on earth truly is. I too have a dream, hell one already came true why not another!

I to believe they have something in the works. Maybe not my vision of the response but something fun for sure. Can't want to see them pop V8's in those new Chargers. Now a hellephant in that with some body work would be really nice. Noticed the Sixpack will have a hood similar to what I told my dealer the car should. Back to the TRX, hope they do bring it back and answer the Raptor R with something that really puts it down in every way.

Agreed very happy he is back, carlos was a clown and tried to kill this brand!

Spinosaurus…. largest carnivore ever… maybe a remake ram SSR dc1500 😂😂😂

Will say though these "insiders" here in this forum and on YT get a lot of shit wrong a lot of the time too.
They're setting the bar as high as it can go with the hellephant platform TRX talk so anything we get less than 1,000hp could be a dissapointing.

I personally wouldn't go nuts on a Redeye although that option would be very smooth for the existing TRX brakes, transmission...
Modifying further could take long for engineers and with '26 being announced as the "return" I doubt they would go that nuts with a whole 170 jump but that's just me

I would personally predict there’s 0% chance of 1000 plus hp. They only made so many demon 170s and lost money in the process. I don’t see them doing it for a pickup truck I would say best case scenario redeye and most probable would be some tuned base hellcat just to beat the 720hp raptor mark…. That is unless they have some new engine or some twin turbo v8 that has been in the wraps

Just like with the TRX, guess I'll return too and leak more info...

Musings...

  • TRX namesake was reserved for a reason.
  • MOPAR/RAM (even back in the Viper era), loved to surprise the public with a 'HALO' vehicle
  • Watching the first 'Sandman' commercial for the TRX, was shocked they dropped 702hp/Hellcat powertrain (expecting/teased with 550hp concept). Suddenly/quickly my Gen2 and the start of cam phaser rattle seemed grossly unappealing...
  • A 'HALO' TRX (limited run, colors and FTW price) that 'Trump-carded' Ford's R by a significant HP/T bump...effectively an unreasonable Mic Drop for Ford to pursue would be timely and appropriate as their previously EV emasculated status fades away.
Order/access...
  • Personally I would love a Ford GT/GTR style application... only available to prior TRX owners, those with an established record of spirited use, daily driving and enjoying their vehicles (not collectors).
  • Modular bumpers for popular accessories, 37's, improved/longer travel Billsteins (that retro on prior TRX/RHO, larger wheel arches and more flared)...more recognizable that a small red "R" that can be purchased on Alibaba (volume discount for a dozen).
  • ***...perhaps 'bonus points' for- those who are 55, grey haired, daily drive three youngsters who insist on their beloved TRX and desert shortcuts VS. our Sienna XSE minivan... 🦖 :ROFLMAO:
Perhaps an updated 'Sandman' commercial:

The TRX is back and please take note.. and it's not 'Sandpeople'!

***Small print would note: No pronouns were used nor injured in the making of this product release***

Stellantis just had a horrible quarter and the brand looks to be flailing to survive. I don’t think creating a halo level vehicle with the same accessibility to buy as the Raptor R (where everyone complained about that) is going to help their profit margins. The redeye motor is more than enough to beat the R so I’m guessing that is their go to. Who knows.

Yep, thanks Carlos!

Good point. They need to SELL vehicles. A $130k TRX is not their solution rn. But they’re prob too stupid and still sell overpriced regular trucks that won’t sell enough, in addition to a $130k TRX

I might be in the minority here, but I can’t get too excited about anything Stellantis has to offer until they address the theft issue.

I’ve owned and loved my truck for nearly three years, and while I do have IGLA installed, I still feel uneasy every time I leave it unattended. At this point, I almost expect to come back to a broken window at the very least.
Yup, same. I’m better today than three years ago but still no malls, airports, and parking garages.

re: the "HALO"... I think of the Lexus LFA and some other manufacturer programs as more of a 'sign'/branding of what they represent and 'can do', than a product released to be profitable.

When I sold for a year at a Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge dealership many decades ago - the VIPER parked in our showroom attracted a LOT of attention and brand excitement (despite a lot full of underachieving products!).

The HALO iv always wanted to see…. Which would be my perfect vehicle… and what they should have made the jeep gladiator…
A full size 1500 but with the raptor/trx wide body and suspension. A monster engine and drivetrain like they have already. But add in the roof and door removal as a jeep/bronco. Could be alone on this island but if you made something like that you can take all my money

The TRX is confirmed to return Q1 2026. I have internal documents that say it will have the 6.2 Hemi but not the 6.2 HO (Redeye). I suspect if they add more power, Kuniskis could use the Hellcat Stage 1 tune and Hellephant pulley to take the power up to 757hp. That'll give it 37 more HP than the Raptor R.

No Redeye TRX is a bad move by Big Tim!
