TRX has too much HP to insure!

They told me the same thing with my boat those guys suck

Try AAA…… I’m almost positive they think they are insuring a standard 1500, it’s about the same cost as my 1500 Sport was.

They have the proper VIN…. So not sure why it’s so cheap, they’ll catch it at some point I suppose.

I have state farm and they insure it just like another 1500 here in California.

Well, now we know why Ford rated the "R" at 700hp.

Farmers....

What a strange and arbitrary reason to deny coverage… it looks like they offer motorcycle coverage

Power to weight ratio seems more high risk than power

And I’m sure they insure diesels with 1000ftlb torque; that tow 10k+ at 80mph

State farm charges me $8 more a month than my old 2015 Toyota Highlander with 127k miles. Comprehensive coverage on both...

Same as my 2013 volt with 100k miles. It’s nuts.

So here in NY I had to register thr TRX as a "commercial vehicle" due to towing and weight of the truck.

When I was inside the dealership signing the paperwork and getting my insurance to add the truck they declined the truck as for commercial use, almost not knowing the law of the state. The agent didn't believe it wouldnt be used for business but personal and only registered as so to comply with the dumb law.

I hung up, called another broker from the same company and in 5 mins was out driving it. Some brokers are horrible while others just seem to know better how to do their jobs.

Switched from USAA to Amica and saved a bunch. Amica had no trouble insuring the TRX….
Im with USAA now and I feel like Im getting f'd in the a... Premium DOUBLED over my 2018 JKU. Curious to know how much USAA was bilking you for and how much of a discount you got with your switch. Feel free to dm me if you dont want your numbers floating around in cyber space.
