TRX chipping sound /squeaky belt sound- update

I swapped my mufflers with SLP loud mouths and no change to the ticking noise. Lasts 5-7 mins at start up and then goes away. If the exhaust is to blame, I would think its cats or headers causing it which no ones replaced yet. Someone is doing a header swap in a few weeks on the other thread so will be curious to see if that changes anything

One thing to note about it being normal.....it goes away from some people and not for others which is funky.
Im the same. Its like a lite squeak/click first 2 to 3 mins of start up and then its gone. Everyrime like clock work. Im at 1200kms now and two weeks daily driving it. Id like to know why aswell. Cheers guys

Same. Little over 4000 miles. Also squeaks in drive and reverse a little. Can hear it if next the a wall, like at the drive-thru. I believe (like most) that it’s a characteristic of the exhaust. Been watching all the threads on the topic like a hawk for a fix.

Exact same here

There are so many threads and comments about this. But, if you don't click on every thread, you wouldn't know. The chirping noise is not the same as the tick. The chirping noise has been explained as being the exhaust. FCA/Stellantis is ok with it. They are not trying to fix it. However, in one of the other threads, someone states that, they have replaced the entire exhaust, and, the chirping went away. You just need to search the threads to find the answers instead of starting new ones for the same questions.

Here is the actual TSB on the issue

Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Customer complains of a brief metallic
ticking/rattling/ringing noise after a cold start-up, that can be heard while standing
outside the vehicle, resonating from the front wheel well areas. If the noise is present,
it is normally heard at idle and the frequency of the noise will follow engine speed.

Customer Complaint/Technician Observation: The engine/exhaust
ticking/rattling/ringing concern customers may report on the TRX is inherent to the
exhaust manifold and catalyst design that ultimately helps achieve the 6.2L supercharged
engine's horsepower and torque levels. The high level of exhaust flow and pressure,
which the exhaust system is designed to withstand under the harshest of conditions,
causes this metallic sound especially during a cold start-up. This sound is amplified by
the ground clearance and height of the TRX in comparison to other vehicles with the 6.2L
supercharged engine. It is considered a normal operating characteristic of this vehicle.

I have 2022 and have the same squeak! Drives me nuts...

I figured I would share to help other people. Since day one of having my TRX there has been a chirping / squeaking noise. It sounds like a bad belt or bad pully and per the thread many others have experienced this. My noise happened less or not at all when in Park or Neutral. but when in Drive or Reverse it got loud, once driving even just up my driveway slowly it would stop. It's rather annoying for an expensive truck.

I was finally able to bring it back to the dealer where I purchased it and had a full look over by the service manager and top Ram tech, long and short is this is a normal sound that is coming from the exhaust, there is actually a bulletin on this noise which they showed me. They also had a newer Charger with Hellcat engine in for service and they put it on a lift, it has the same exact sound. I guess it is less noticeable since the Charger is lower to the ground, but on the lift it is very noticeable. I guess because TRX sits higher, the ground doesn't drown out the sound. Seems legit to me???
Curious if anyone else has a clunking sound when coming to a complete stop? I have a 2022

yes, almost everyone does. there is an entire thread on this already. there are only a couple of things to know.

1. ram knows and there is no corporate fix
2. if you drop your rear wheel drive shaft and grease the splines it helps for awhile
