I just had the exact same experience with the filter and posted a thread on it because I wasn’t sure it was legitimate. I couldn’t believe it was actually legitimate and I ended up using it but it’ll be the last time. Thanks for opening them up and providing the comparison!

I wanted to revive this quickly because I had a few questions. Plus I know a few guys here also have Vipers.

TRX owners were using the SRT Viper 041 as an upgrade to the 899 is this correct? But now the 041 is no different than the 899. An upgrade would be Wix 57063?

Viper were using 041 but that is just for the new Gen IV/V not the Gen II (96 GTS) the Viper logo (not a sticker and it is white) says 05037836AB. Is there any knowledge if those filters were changed? I have seen some available online like Amazon and Mopar online sites but I do not want to down grade a filter. Are there any upgrades to that filter? Should I check with Wix and see what they offer? I figured I would see if any fellow Viper owners had some insight plus ask this forums oil gurus.
