Supercharger Coolant at MIN at 1800 miles

Checklist is great, maybe we update it and make it more of a guide w/pics? (for those who may not know what exactly to check for each item)

It’s legally yours. You’re allowed to keep any part a mechanic takes off your vehicle. They might want it back but its yours you paid for it & if they want it they can buy it from you. Someone correct me if this applies differently to parts replaced under warranty.
They have to hold onto it for a certain amount of time when the repair is warranty in case the manufacturer (Ram) asks for it back.
Also some parts have a core charge (so Ram can get it back and rebuild it). If there is no core and after the allotted time has passed if you can talk the dealer into giving it to you then more power to ya!!

Am I the only one who has a hard time reading that PDF thru the trex eating it’s breakfast? ;)

One month driving and close to 3 months in the shop was more than this old fella could stand. Especially after laying down nearly 6 figures for the thing. You all have some bad ass looking trucks. I just hope you don't have my luck.....

I do have some brand new tires to get rid of if anyone’s interested. (Factory make, model, size, never been mounted on a wheel.)

Did you return the truck?

What type of coolant do I need to order? I am trying to have some to add to my truck.

Your dealer can tell / sell you the correct coolant. Its a Mopar product.
When you add coolant, mark the level (when cold) with a Sharpie. Keep an eye on the level from time to time, if its dropping you could have a leak in the system.

No, jackasses I bought it from wanted me to take an $8k hit. I sold it elsewhere.... Awful experience honestly.
Same with mine. Sold it before the bottom fell out of the TRX market so did not get hurt bad--pretty much just my mods tires, exhaust, tool box THREE sets of film for the fenders and two different sets of mud flaps. Just too many problems and not reliable. For me it was a toy that did not pan out.

Watching this thread closely. I've got 1800 miles on mine as well, and I have a service appointment for Wednesday morning to have this same issue looked at. My IC coolant level is actually well below the MIN level, even when the engine is at temp.

I'm going to have them change the oil as well. I want to make sure they look for coolant in the oil.
you may wanna consider sampling your oil at every oil change. Being a CAT guy, I’m a firm believer in oil sampling. Not only does it indicate wear patterns but will alert even the smallest of leaks between systems in the engine, even the smallest. Also you’ll have documentation in case of warranty issues. And it’s very inexpensive. Any heavy equipment dealer can do them as well as independent labs. Just a thought.

Thank God for this forum. Just checked my coolant on both tanks and both are at minimum level. Will add fluid and check daily for changes. Thank you boys 👍

Mine got low too. Both to the min. I topped them off and then put in a little at each oil change. I had my oil sampled and nothing is getting into the oil. I probably add about 8-12 ounces total between both reservoirs per year.

I know you said it's not getting in the oil, but out of curiosity, I assume the coolant is leaking somewhere....so are there long term ramifications to the approach of just occasionally topping off?

If it's leaking onto the ground, not a massive deal (yet). But if it's leaking into the intake, then it's likely only a matter of time before the seal fully blows and hydrolocks the engine. I'm talking about the intercooler reservoir right now. Don't take any chances with that - get it checked out.
