Stellantis not taking 2023 yet

I ordered and put down a deposit a month ago with my dealer. He said today Stellantis isn’t taking orders for 23’s yet.

Is this true?

Forum vendors are taking 23’ orders. The orders likely won’t be accepted by RAM and a VIN issued until production actually gets closer to start. Someone posted earlier I think @Eighty that production likely wouldn’t start until November. Check on the dealer threads in the vendor section for updates / info.

I placed my '23 order almost a month ago with Granger and got a VON right away.

I'd find another dealer they're obviously stalling you for some reason.

I ordered 23 from Granger a couple weeks ago and got a von the same day.

That would be awesome. I ordered 22 Aug and, as of this week, I was told not to expect a VIN for the next few weeks.

Im pretty sure the VIN # won’t come until the factory has accepted the order and it’s going to be eventually produced. That’ll be once production gets ramped up to start. I could be wrong… it’s been a minute since I’ve paid close attention to builds. One thing is for certain it’ll be a mess like it always is. The VIN doesn’t mean anything to be honest. Here’s the build out schedule…. It does show November for 2023 DT (which is the TRX)

I believe Rob is correct, we're not getting a VIN anytime soon. the VON just lets you know your order is in.

If your dealer won't place an order maybe they don't have the quota, or they're deciding how they're going to use it. I'm not sure how that game works but it's a factor. all the dealers in my area told me no way were they offering a big discount when their quota can't fill the MSRP orders. which makes sense I can't blame them, so Granger got my business.
