I asked about that and she said it’s just the extra load the ac puts on the vehicle that makes it louder when turned on.Didn't you say it went away when the AC was off? Sounds like RAM just gave you a load of you know what
I will when I get it backDefinitely post it if you can, might just be the TRX chirp...its the reason I call my truck cricket![]()
Not my truck mine is a 24 but this is it. It’s that loud with the ac on, when the ac is off barely noticeable.

That’s my issue mine never goes away done sever 5+ hour drives nothing but turning off the ac makes it less noticeable. Can’t go through drive throughs atm or pharmacy pick ups with having to turn off the truck. I was fine with it on a cold start but it never went away like people say .That's just the exhaust crickets, supposedly caused by the cats. Totally normal. Mine goes away after about 5 minutes of driving.

That’s the TRX chirp. I kind of like it actually, makes you feel like you’re driving a machine. It’s from the cats from my research. I’ve even had people say the engine sounds more like a diesel truck because of this sound. Against walls and drive throughs (which barely fit in most) the chirp is more noticeable. Not my truck mine is a 24 but this is it. It’s that loud with the ac on, when the ac is off barely noticeable.
Thanks for the input just a lot of different scenarios some people say it goes away after warming up, some it never ends, been watching YouTube videos with the different exhaust people put on them never once do you hear the chirp in those videos. Service advisor today when I picked her up strongly advised about not getting any exhaust or intake modifications she said my front bumper alteration was already pushing the envelope on warranty work. She said her shop manager won’t touch anything that has any after market parks when it comes to warranty work.
Same here.Yup thats the chirp, mine never goes away either.
I have a 24 also, mine chirps the some way, so I tried turning off the AC and sonofabitch, it does get significantly quieter. I had had the dealer check it a year ago because it was annoying as hell, but they said it was normal. Thanks for the input just a lot of different scenarios some people say it goes away after warming up, some it never ends, been watching YouTube videos with the different exhaust people put on them never once do you hear the chirp in those videos. She made it sound like it’s the shop managers call not hers and that every shop manager is different. This particular manager doesn’t like anything that has been altered she said some don’t mind some will even install after market parts but this one will not. I definitely will be going to another shop in the future though. She's an idiot. Stop using those morons, because they're giving you bad information. An aftermarket bumper that voids your warranty? I've heard it all now.![]()
Never thought of neutral! Thanks for that tip. Do not get me wrong I absolutely love my TRX just got caught up in the ones that say it’s normal and goes away after warming up.My observations with my 2022 TRX and the "Chirp" is that it is loudest at low rpm (i.e. Idle) and heavy load (I.e. in drive, A/C compressor running). Increase rpm to 1000 and chirp goes away completely.
When I'm going through a drive thru, I just put my truck in Neutral which reduce the load on the engine and reduces if not eliminates the "Chirp" especially when the engine is warm.
The "Chirp" of the Hellcat (btw, RAM won't call the engine a Hellcat because that's the Dodge branding of the same engine and they want Dodge and RAM to be separate businesses) in the TRX has always been a hot topic. The excuse RAM engineer's have said from day 1 is that in order to produce 702hp, they needed to produce higher compression and have a high-flow exhaust and high-flow catalytic converters which have a side-effect of developing a harmonic in the exhaust at low RPM. That's your "chirp". Annoying as F@&!, but I love my beast!
