I still do not have a VON for my order and my dealer thinks it could be Nov-Jan for RAM to pull the order in. I am trying to be patient, but it's almost like RAM wants me to stick with my Audi

Thank you for explaining that. I definitely did not know that and thought everything was submerged in a huge tank of paint.

Exactly! Guess that's not how RAM does it, NOW I KNOW!! Or maybe that's like a primer and it's painted after. Maybe you can help tell RAM to get these spitfire orders pulled in, built, and painted up

That's the thing - everybody keeps talking about color batches, but there's no such animal. The paint booths can switch colors, and there's no need for batching like that. But nobody listens to me...what do I know...lol

Yeah that's wild and has made me curious about how the paint booths operate since I have been following the production of this truck at SHAP. So many models and colors go through there in a day I almost imagine the booth bots are loaded with a combination of cartridges of color, a flush/cleaning solvent hard line and a waste pit for pressurized air/solvent flush before engaging a new cartridge run. Would love to see how they do this.
