Siap - SavageGeese TRX - Born for Abuse

No doubt it’s a badass truck. I just want a reliable bad ass truck. Trucks are significantly less bad ass on tow trucks.

i hope they fix their glitches because my nearest dealer is an hour away through mountain roads.

Understandable, but warranty options are there, and as a platform, i’ve had my 19 limited for 2 years now, not a single issue. The platform is solid, powertrain warrantied for 5 years also.

I would say MOST folks having a great experience, RAM and SHAP trying to ensure a ‘good job’ for everyone to enjoy their trucks. If you’re having issues, contact RAMCares and your dealer. I know for a fact Stellantis execs read these boards and their engineering teams care to make things right. Just dont expect them to broadcast every problem and root cause/fix, as some folks seem to wish for.

Building cars & trucks is a VERY tough industry and rest assured, those in it (myself included), are dedicated to ‘do it right’. This isn’t Daimler or Cerberus Dodge/RAM anymore, which everyone should take comfort in :)

I really hope you are right that they are reading these sentiments on issues and making needed changes. Like I said, I love the concept and want mine.

i would never expect them to broadcast everything. No business does that. They need to do better on managing the forum representation, communicating with individual buyers and addressing concerns.

the problem is they are playing to a totally different audience. You have people really stretching financially to buy, you also have experienced six figure car buyers who are expecting similar service to what they are used to. I can tell you every supercar maker knows each clients name, their purchase history, their ability/desire to move up the chain into more expensive models, etc.

making the leap to supertruck/supercar is a change in mindset. Some fail. Remember when Nissan put launch control in the gtr then put all sorts of restrictions on it’s use after the fact? Never buying a GTR now

Understandable to be concerned. Have some faith!

On your comment, Supercar makers (Ferrari, McLaren, Lambo) make less than 20k vehicles per year, mostly. Plus, the DEALER owns those relationships, not even Ferrari except for a chosen few. Same with Porsche, DEALERS are key.

Often times, the manufacturer leaders (mid-level) are here, but can’t comment on their position due to clearance from legal. (I am not one of them, but know a lot of them).

I think there are a lot of us sitting on the edge of our sear wondering how this will play out. I hope for the best.

On a positive note, they only put the restriction on for one year. Then upgraded the care and software to manage the power. It’s amazing to see that GTR as fat and heavy as it is beat the plastic and carbon fiber cars at their own game. It just amazes me they were able to pull that off with that kind of weight to drag around.

Not really. I went to a mclaren factory track event and they knew a good amount about me including previous cars that weren’t mclaren.

if you think the ferrari corporate doesn’t have a gigantic influence on who gets cars, you have never dealt with them. They are by far the worst of the big 3 supercar companies (or best if you are willing to play their “you must buy these 5 cars you don’t want to buy a Pista”). They also treat 95% of their customers like trash.

The GTR absolutely does stuff that seems to defy physics. It feels way too digital/video gamey to me but preference. What’s one year of not being able to use one of the main features on the car worth? On halo cars that sort of stuff can’t be fairly compensated. Lots of them are leases or cars kept for 2-3 years.

would you be ok with ram saying if you jump the truck from 4/1/21 to 4/1/22 your warranty is void? Whats that worth to you?

It could happen. I hope it doesn’t.

Stilettoes exe reading the board, you too @RamCares ... I shouldn't have to worry about my safety taking delivery of your "Halo" vehicle

The point was, RAM makes 10k trucks a week, they wont have the same relationship expectation as a handmade/bespoke builder of supercars. I too have done the tours (Lambo in this case) and certainly they have to appreciate their Customer relationships differently than a mass-produced vehicle manufacturer and have a lot more money involved (avg transaction price more than doubled, often tripled a TRX).

As everyone on the board does, i hope my truck is built properly (tomorrow!!), and if it isn’t, then my dealer and RAM twitter + Stellantis will hear about it just the same :) but i hope for the best!

I guess my point is while Ram may do 10k trucks a week. They only do 500 trx’s at what is likely max capacity. Also these are assembly line vehicles that take exponentially less time to build than a supercar. Yes most “supercars” are more money but I consider nearly every six figure sportscar a supercar.

is it too much to ask they actually engage with halo car owners? I’m not asking for a butler and champagne while I wait. Just one trustworthy mode of communication and that they gather customer details on these halo cars then put in a database so when I call they know I’m not a scrub tire kicking with no ability to buy.

how stoked would you be if ram/srt invited owners to track events. You still pay but its a brand promotion event where you get to wail on a private track.

I have on good authority they will have ‘SRT-like’ off road events for TRX in future, once the ‘rona is gone. Having customer db for TRX owners prob not. Will you settle for a facebook group? Lol

Do you notice what savage geese said? How much Abuse this truck can take within reason do you hear that one street speed 717???

I don’t do facebook. I disagree with their censorship and collusion
