Hello,

I got the call that my TRX arrived at the dealer on Saturday finally, but it was apparently damaged in transit. There is a scratch to the plastic on the grill (this can just be replaced) and a dent on the A frame above the passenger window. It’s apparently small but still worries me.

Has anyone else experienced damage in transit? If so how did it turn out? The dealer has been standup so far, and assures me it won’t show up on a carfax or anything like that. Anything else I should be aware of, asking about, etc??

I went from being super excited to bummed out so any advice is appreciated!!

The dealer was nice to tell you....many people don't know and the trucks are fixed before delivery without the buyer even knowing.....honestly I wouldn't worry about it or let it taint getting the truck....it's all cosmetic and an easy fix....

Mine got damaged in transit and it was a Hellacious time. Tue upper and lower front skid plate was damaged and the control arm and knuckle were dug up. I have no clue how this happened. It arrived at the dealer on August 4th and I finally got it last week, 7 week holdup. They had to replace the control arm and knuckle, completely remove and install a new skid plate (the only good thing to come out of it) so while it was off I got them to spray it black to match the bumper so it looks like the Sandblast. But on the day it was to be picked up and shipped, my truck driver calls and tells me I have a big door ding and my front fender is popped out and not lined up with the filler panel below the headlight. So this only added to the delivery time. Then it finally arrives last week and I realize driving it, the steering wheel is crooked and not centered and the tint I paid $600 for was only installed on the windshield and 2 front windows. Now to be fair, the dealership paid to have it delivered after my driver showed up and pointed out the damage, and did send me a check for half of my first months payment. But still… my 1st truck process was absolutely perfect. This one was absolutely terrible.

Sounds like driver dumped the front wheel off the ramp of the transport. Landed on the knuckle and pushed the wheel up into the fender. Ding is probably from hitting somewhere on the transport as it dropped. Your selling dealer should have caught and repaired all before delivery. I think I would have let them keep that one.
