seat belt anchor recall (Recall 67D / NHTSA 26V495)

Had the recall taken care of about a month back. Took them maybe a couple hours and they told me I was good. My advisor said if it needed parts I'd have to bring it back to get replaced, but since mine passed inspection I didn't really ask any questions. Sorry if it's to vague, I'm just telling you my experience.

From my understanding it is just one bolt under the back seat for the center seatbelt anchor plate. They did not really discuss it in detail besides they had the bolt if needed. Mine checked out and it did not look like they touched it far as I could tell so don't think its torque. Im guessing some got the wrong bolt installed as it is supposed to be a high strength grade bolt. Seems some broke off under load stress and so the recall. My guess is they look in the back check the bolt grade and swap if it is the incorrect one. Im sure someone will chime in with more detail but that seems to be what it is just an incorrect or missing bolt.

I believe it’s just verifying the torque on the bolt in question. Takes about 30 seconds. They signed off on mine when I had it in the shop for an oil change this week.

But I’ve given it a couple ugga-Duggas when I was back there a few months ago installing my speaker box so…. 😊
