Best looking stake pocket mounted rack I've seen. I'm interested in seeing photos if anyone has it. Curious about the stake pocket mount.... I want to use it with my BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover, wondering how much (if any) I'd need to trim of the Bakflip where the rack mounts in the stake pockets. Not interested in a different tonneau cover.

Honestly all you would need is T-Slot Rails which TruckHero / BAK may be able to get you. They have since expanded their offering of the T-Slot rails to work with quite a few of their tonneau covers. We don't have access to them yet but I've had some customers order them directly from the manufacturer.

Yeah, I've seen a couple versions of the Putco t-slot rails. I think they look ok, but I have the Putco molle panels now and I have to say I'm really not impressed with the quality... so I'm a bit skeptical of their rails. I think I'd rather have the rack mounted directly to the stake pockets anyway, looks a bit cleaner in my opinion.

Don't know much about any racks. I just know what I've seen some trucks have for downhill Alpine skis. I've seen a Rivian with cross bars and a ski rack. Also seen cross rails with roof boxes. We have a roof box for our SUV. And have been trying to figure out why people have them on trucks. Isn't that the point of the bed? Or do they have that much junk they need in some cases two roof boxes.

I just saw this released from Kuat for trucks. Appears to be adjustable, has attachments.

ive been looking at this and wondering the same thing with my Retrax cover. looks like the Retrax overlaps the stake pockets about halfway so i might just dremel it off.

GoRack is on my list, haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Would love to hear from anyone who has. I don’t have the Retrax, just a standard Bakflip MX4 that doesn’t cover the stake pockets… but the rubber seal is probly less than an inch from the inside edge of the stake pocket.

i was going to buy this until i realized that i need to change out my retrax slots for the t-slot style ones and then i couldnt find a good place to get them and i kinda just gave up lol

I dont think you do actually! The GoRack mounts 2 diff ways: 1) in the T-channels or 2) in the stake pockets. We've got 1 coming soon that we're mounting in the stake pockets!

wait forreal?! i thought they only cane in t-post so i was a big sad that i had to basically swap out the tracks on my retrax. like it comes that way either/or?

Yess!! T-slot/channels and the stake hole pockets! Ours should be here this week but we're just gettin back from a big trip so it'll be a little bit before we get time to install. Hopefully before Xmas!

that's awesome i wasnt aware of that!! now i'll probbaly grab one and just trim out a little bit of my retrax that covers up the stake holes. and the Ascend rack looks really nice too! i think i'll still prefer the GoRack because if i put my RTT on the top of it, it shoullllddd be close to level with the top of the truck cab. if i were putting everything under the rack i'd pick the Ascend.

I 100% agree with you and am hoping my setup sits cab high or relatively close. With the tight trails we wheel, i cant afford to be sticking out way above the cab -- although that extra space would be nice- we'd end up smashing the RTT on a tree and game over lol

So the Ascend mounts on the rails so you'd def have some fenagling to do but the GoRack can mount to the stake hole pockets so that's where we plan to run it. It should work with tonneaus but we may end up not running a tonneau. We'll see!

Finally got the extrusion bars I was waiting on about 16 hours before we were scheduled to leave for the mountains. SO...WHAT DID I DO NEXT??

Stayed up till 3am installing the GoRack and the Cross bars for no purpose that served our trip whatsoever lol. Was just super excited haha. And i'm in absolute love with the look and the utility of the rack. Was amazed at everything we fit into the bed (gear for our family of 5 + 2 pups) and still had tons of room to spare
