Read before purchasing a TRX or any Ram i must say.

"not safe to reinstall electrical parts behind the dash because of potential fire hazard."

Ummm, I had to have my entire dash removed due to AC condensation line leaking into the cab. Find a good quality dealer and have their best tech look at it. I have had no issues with anything since they fixed the leak. Not even a squeak from behind there.

I had to file a lemon law claim on mine. In the end FCA did make it right.

Good morning , being an owner of two Ram trucks (2017 3500 and a 2022 Ram TRX) I didn’t think I would ever have to do this. I have several concerns with my TRX and Ram’s customer care. I’ve read my owners manual backwards and forward concerning parts and availability for vehicles under warranty. It states parts will be available through the dealer and with prompt services. I haven’t experience either. My vehicle has been sitting over two months with no dates on parts while I’m making truck payments . Also to make matters worse the “Main” issue my truck is having is electrical behind the dash and the dealer body shop told me that its not safe to reinstall electrical parts behind the dash because of potential fire hazard. I’ve expressed this to Ram that I wouldn’t feel safe in the vehicle with my life and I would like for them to repurchase the vehicle because of that issue and the fact Ram doesn’t have parts for a warranty vehicle in which the owner Manual states they would and it’s a federal law to have parts in stock for warranty vehicles and if you choose not to have parts in stock you must repurchase the vehicle or replace. Ram should not produce vehicles they can’t provide spare parts for and should repurchase the disabled product. But as I mentioned previously my biggest concern is the highly potential fire hazard behind the dash that Ram doesn’t want to take any recourse for whatsoever on top of no dates for parts. I’ve been dealing with customer care for over a month and they haven’t produced anything to rectify the matter. I definitely will be moving forwards with legal action if we can’t come to a resolution. I’m really more appalled that Ram doesn’t want to own up to its mistakes like common folk. I’m praying for the world. I know some may not want to hear this but please think twice before purchasing a Ram product.
Not sure what the lemon laws are in your state, but in Ca....any car that sits on a dealer lot for 30 days + ( I think) is automatically has a lemon case you can file. you might be able to lemon it and get all your money back

I sell heavy construction equipment for a living can say that is a piece of everyone's environment these days. Have customers that buy a machine for a project, need a part and have to wait 120 days because the vendors cannot produce them fast enough. Most of the components in electrical parts come from multiple sources. Factories get screwed by vendors and suppliers and today's blame game is endless.

I do not agree with how things are, do not think its fair for you to go through these issues at all. There are a multitude of reasons we've gotten to this point. I have been told 2023 will be the worst year so far in getting anything as factories are hurting and many factors show things are not looking good at all for the near future.

Keeping politics out of this all I can say is we either switch gears towards a damage containment reaction of watch next year be an absolute disaster

They’re all the same way unfortunately. Ordered a 22 f250 platinum that came in feb and it had multiple QC issues. Also bought a 23 Tahoe for my wife a couple months ago and it had a couple QC issues that had to be addressed as well. I’d personally try a different dealer because some just seem to want to help more than others.

I have a heavy equipment repair business and between the cost to get parts and the crazy wait times (if they ever come at all) I don't see how this can continue much longer before it's 2008 again

What industry is not having this type of supply chain issue. Overseeing the operations for a medical devices company, we have suppliers that have given us 12 month lead times for parts and we forecast production schedules based off of it. Then a few months prior to the expected delivery date they add anywhere from 6 to 12 additional months due to material shortages. Unfortunately this has become the norm.
High end servers, networking equipment and storage devices have a 3-12 month waiting period to get them delivered.

Supply chain excuses seem irrelevant because they are building trucks every day with whatever the hell part this guy needs. There’s just zero priority (money) in servicing existing vehicles. Ram is not unique in that regard but that doesn’t mean we should all be apologists for them.

Granted…in this instance, his dealer sounds totally incompetent and a terrible advocate too. But even with a better one there’s no guarantees.

I think you are being irrational for 2022. It's not just Dodge its everybody and everything. I waited 6 months for a new well pump I ordered and watched the price double. My buddy needs a new engine in his Kia. Dealership has had it 5 weeks and the engine backorder is 5 months. As far as replacing electrical components behind the dash sounds very melodramatic to me. Its full of electrical components just like every square inch of the truck. Disconnect the battery, unplug replug. Nothing new there. There is no Federal law stating that a dealer has to keep parts in stock but I could see maybe "readily available" and they don't have to buy the vehicle back due to a parts supply problem. Ever since Covid, supplies have gotten worse. Biden was made it worse. Ever hear of the No.1 chip manufacturing plant in China burning down a year ago? They couldn't build cars much less replacement parts. How about transport shortages? Maybe 100 ships sitting off the port because they cant get unloaded because they have no transport?
Now I understand your frustration. If your not dealing with Ram customer service directly and opened a case you should have. You also should have received a rental vehicles and I've even heard of Dodge making the monthly payments in situations just like yours. If your still within the first year you definitely have a lemon law case and you don't need an attorney. Most states have binding arbitratuon anyways. Been there done that on a 99 Ram. They will play hardball until literally the day before arbitration then you will get your money back. Most state lemon laws requires that the vehicle is crushed and zero parts can bevused from ut so they buy it back first. Wake up and look around. Its not 2018.

IF his issues meet all the requirements of the state Lemon Law.......the attorney fess are paid by the Mfg.
Cost of the initial consultation is $500 to $1000.
He don't need an attorney for the Lemon law. I did it by myself and most states have binding arbitration so an attorney is a waste. The lemon law is cut and dry. They will play hardball all the way up to the day before arbitration as they did with me and then refund your money. Most state LL requires the vehicle to be crushed with zero salvaged parts. Its always a better deal for the manufacturer to refund then sell it used somewhere.

I feel for those who have had issues with their trucks, I for one however have had great luck with FCA products! My first FCA product was a 2016 RAM 1500 4x4, then a 2019 RAM Longhorn 4x4 and now my current 2020 Jeep Rubicon 2-door and my 2022 TRX, all have been outstanding! The ONLY problem I have had with ANY of them was a loose ESS ground on the Jeep that was repaired on third day of ownership and so far, NOTHING else!

ALL auto manufactures have issues as can be witnessed by walking through the service department of ANY new car dealer and noting the number of warranty repairs being performed...It's just luck of the draw if you happen to have one with a problem. In a prior career life, I was Service Director for one of the largest Mercedes dealers in the Southwest and we had plenty of warranty repairs...
FCA (I know its technically Stellantis but my March 2022 TRX window sticker as well as build tag still read FCA) is no different. Hopefully my luck holds true for the 23' TRX I just ordered:)
The real problem however is how the dealerships service department handles issues and unfortunately this varies greatly...Once you find a good service department, nurture that relationship! Tips: Always take your vehicle in clean and with the cabin tidy-your vehicle will always be cared for better if those at the dealership see that you care for it! Also, an occasional nice bottle of spirits for your service advisor (always use the same advisor) and a tip for the technician, especially on more challenging issues can do wonders...

I am in the process with legal action for lemon law with quill and arrow
I am filing a bbb report
I also have had the BAR bureau of automotive repair on the to verify my complaint is real
I’m going to add a Yelp review on the dealership for stating that I have caused the problem
I will write a formal letter To demand repair and if they don’t I will take legal action against the dealership
My problem is coolant disappearing and going to low and below and I bring it back the way it’s operating as designed
Also my right lower control arm bolt was loose and it bent a welded tab on the main frame is bent. The accused me of taking jumps and hitting pot holes
Yes I’m going to lemon this truck!
