Completely luck of the draw, could buy it and never have a single issue or be the absolute worst purchase of your life!

Looks like it’s priced just about 10K cheaper than others same year.

Have you checked with your insurance yet??? I would ask about what your premium is and if they will even insure it, and then also if they will provide full coverage.

I personally wouldn’t buy one just because of the potential for so many pitfalls, only way I would ever buy one would be as a project vehicle. If I was buying as a project vehicle it would be still in its crashed/rebuild state so that I could do the repairs/outsource what I can’t do.

“Abused” is probably an understatement. Half the truck was missing.

The mismatched red stitched dash and steering wheel while everything else inside is grey would make me wonder what else was repaired cut-rate. Strikes me as the kind of vehicle that looks semi-decent in low res photos but is probably pretty rough in person.

Thanks, I was going to look at it today but I let him know I'm not going to.
Good catch on the mismatched red stitching! I didn't see that.

Oddly enough the engine was still in it??!?
Kinda makes you wonder why the heck steal a trx if your going to just take some body panels??

I enjoy the ScrapLifeLee + ScrapLifeGarage YT videos and his numerous HELLCAT orientated builds (even the fun swaps into a Supra/370Z or recently putting a 2JZ into a Hellcat body w/1200hp). They seem so familiar with body damage to swapping electrical harnesses between shells to other unique nuances starting with Salvage/Recovered Theft, etc. purchases. Not to mention the pallet shelving backdrop inventory.

Future goal: wide body Hellcat Challenger or Charger. I watched an episode where they chronicled buying one in (discovered) decent shape...made me wonder if they have any end customers on a budget or with end plans/future modifications that make a "Salvage title" no big deal. Customers who contact them, for their team to search/purchase/restore their request?
Other than 'one off' restorations (Goonzquad/etc) - I haven't seen a source/shop yet that seems to focus on this particular TRX platform.

Ideally would be great to know the history of whomever rebuilt a damaged vehicle, especially their familiarity with the platform and idiosyncrasies re: powertrain, even electronics associated with certain damage. Also pics and details of the initial damage, even ability to source the public record including accident/theft report.

OR - Perhaps it's not as complex as I'm assuming?
