My dealer told me on 8/19 when I put my order in that the area rep said every dealer in the country will be getting at least one allocation within the first 6 months of production. Said he orders 20-30 vehicles per month and expected my order should not be a problem. As of last weekend I was still in BG status which I believe means he still didn’t have an allocation yet. He did tell me I’d get his first. From past experience in ordering vehicles from FCA it seems they like to hand them out the first week of the month and after that week you gotta wait till the next month for the next batch to go out.

While it may sound like that sucks for me....I should also note that on both my first hellcat and my demon, I missed the allocations on the first month and was picked up in October. In both these cases that wound up being a really good thing because the first round of allocations they discovered they had a production issue and all those vehicles wound up stuck in quality control....forever. My car was put on the line in both cases right after they fixed the issue on the line and I wound up getting mine way before most of those people. There were some guys stuck in quality for control for like 4 months+!

Yeah I can empathize ... I put my order in I thought on 8/18 but it didn’t get into the system until 8/25. Received my Von and went to BG status within a couple of days. Been there ever since and began to worry if I really had a legit order.... I ended up through a friend reaching out directly to someone in FCA and was told that I had a legit order but my build won’t start until December. I was the last allocated order from my dealer for the 1st round... ( my dealer had a total of 10 allocations) your info regarding possible production issues is the only thing keeping me sane... haha. I met with my dealer the other day and he said he was told by FCA that the 2nd round of allocations is supposed to begin in November. Thanks for the info!

I am getting concerned about VON and VIN, as I have never been provided with either. I went into the dealer in Florida on 08/18 in the evening as agreed that morning on the phone, and the salesperson had me pick out my options for the Launch Edition. The configuration preview form was shown to me with the price, showing everything I asked for. My name nor address was not on it, but it showed as a sold order to the dealer and it's address. There was no VON or VIN on the "order." I was told these would come later and that RAM would be provided my info so I could get updates. I have been away from this forum for a few weeks or so. I have never received an email or text from the dealer with any updated information about VONs or VINS. I really hope nothing has happened to this order. They said they only had the one LE allocation and I was the one ordering it...

Post what they gave you so we can look at it.
If they gave you a POC - Priced Order Confirmation then the VON should have been on it.

Here is the order sheet that I was given. The top right corner does not show to keep some info private, but the status was a BA. When they showed this order to me to check my options, they had me sign it at the bottom to acknowledge those were the items I chose.

I'd reach out to them and have them give you a new POC. You should at the very least be at C status.

When you get to D status, thats when you get a VIN

Without a VON on it they never ordered it. The VON generates automatically once they order goes in whether or not the dealer has an allocation.

I am going in there then. They need to research this and provide me with some updated answers. So, if they had the allocation for one LE and IF mine was not ordered, what happens next? Did the allocation get lost?
