Question about tailgate

I have a 24 TRX and I could have sworn that the tailgate locks when you use the factory FOB, I mean if you can pop it open with the factory FOB with two clicks why would it not lock when you lock the doors? If you have a cover it would make it more secure right?
Anyway, I just noticed it a year after having the Compustar T13 installed (and opening the tailgate with much noise and fanfare from the alarm) and wonder if this is something that can be programmed into it.

The tailgate does lock with the doors.

Maybe yours glitched?

I have accidentally locked my keys in the bed and had to use the phone app to unlock it
