purchased used mod'd '22 and have questions

wasnt a screaming deal, and talking to a local mechanic he is saying find a way to take it back....even though he doesn't deal in all the tuning and mods but he has heard stories. he said the O2 sensors could turn into a nightmare. this should be fun.... appreciate all the info and details from the group.

Agree with @Louk and @WraithTRX the errors are header related as the catalyst efficiency would be triggered with high flow cats. It either isn't tuned properly or was returned the stock

You just can't catch a break buying used trucks. Last truck had signs of abuse and now this. 😬

exactly!! was in a 2014 Raptor in between that one and this one....old school but missed the power and luxury!

Sounds like one of the two previous dealers who had it returned it back to stock not knowing it was tuned? Were both or either of those dealerships CDJR dealerships? I thought only CDJR techs could make changes in the PCM besides tuners unlocking them? Something seems fishy with that truck. Not saying is a dud but some back history on it would be nice for you to have before making the call on keeping it or not.

My last three trucks have all been purchased brand new for this exact reason. I don't want to be surprised by issues caused by just any Joe schmoe off the street. I want the truck manufacturer to surprise me with issues instead!

I must be the only odd one in the bunch who would want to know what I bought before I returned it…if it’s packing a forged 426 or hellaphant and just needs a tune then I would be game.
Nope, you're not alone, I said the same thing a few posts up. Like you said I would take it to a performance shop and have them asses the truck to see what its got first before making a decision. A compression test could also tell you alot about the engine's health/life and to know if its been beat hard or not.

Had 2 good conversations with performance shops; business is good can’t get into either for 2-4 weeks so will see.
As I said, appreciate comments and info!

the more you wait the less chance to have the dealer refund you..you hope car might have some expensive mods you are not aware off while risking to get stuck with a dud. Not worth risking close to 6 figure imo.
I'm a gambler as well ...ask the performance shops to get you in right away and offer to pay double their diag rate (everything has a price)
