i just purchased a 2022 TRX in ohio with 29,000 miles from a small dealer that got it from a bigger one that didn't want to deal with mods.

i do know it has kooks headers, smaller pulley and corsa exhaust.
now that i have had it for 24 hours i believe it is safe to say it has a cam and hp tune.
this thing screams!

first off anything i should do asap to make sure it is a healthy build; and then secondly can i have the tune checked online or do i have to find a tuner locally that deals with HP tunes?

appreciate any help out there.

Check what kind of boost you are running to see if it’s safe on the fuel you are using. Look for an HPTuners sticker on the PCM (they add one if they did the unlock). Take a look at your injectors to see if you can tell the brand/size. Then you need to decide if you want to work with a local tuner or anyone nationwide that does remote tuning. It’s a matter of preference but personally having done it both ways for years I don’t have a problem with the remote tuning.

Well update. 10 times today driving on highway that has intermittent red lights at different suburbs in a row….would be going 50 then have to stop or slow. When I would get to about 10 mph error codes would start flashing 3 or so codes on screen and it would go into limp mode. Have to put it in park and turn it off then on again and be fine….this happened about 10 times in a 3-4 mile stretch…..would this be tune related or something completely different with a bad sensor.? Starting to worry I may have gotten into something that may have been dumped for issues or mods? Afraid when I take it to dealer they will see mods and laugh…..?

This wouldn’t be the first story on the forum exactly like this.
Guys running super dangerous tunes knowing they will just unload the truck and it be the next guys problem.

With all the mods your drivetrain wouldn’t be under warranty, it depends if the dealer is fine with working on modded vehicles or not.

If I had the choice though, I would limit the driving and find a good performance shop in the area to take the truck in for a look over and ensure you aren’t running a hot tune or anything is about to fail.

Stopping in at dealer today and trying to find a performance shop in the area, so far no luck within 1.5 hour drive. thanks

It has a fob that says engine stop start button with a Compustar name on it…is that a sucrose kill switch type option?
If it looks like this:

This is just the secondary key fob (PRO R5) that comes with a Compustar install. It's a two way like the PRO T13 minus the LCD and uses one button for options.

Scroll up one to the Diagnostics page on the screen; it features the stethoscope symbol. Run diagnostics and report back with the errors.
Here is what it shows

So it sounds like something isn’t tuned right with the headers and throwing the cat codes

Then a torque management code, probably tune related

Your last one might also be o2 sensor tune related …..

agree with above, unless you got a screamin deal and are prepared to possibly get a several thousand bill I would try to get your money back and get out.
