Opinions on used TRX

Isn’t launch control a gimmick? Launching it in Baja mode while power braking is just as effective, and more consistent.

Depends where you live (altitude), outside temp, pavement surface, tires, etc. LC can correct for all these factors in milliseconds that a driver has to estimate. LC 0-60 times on draggy for me have been +- 0.1 seconds for 30+ launches which I would challenge anyone to match that consistency manually.

Of course there are a lot of folks like one I debated on here last week who have never used LC but bash on it…very educated opinions. The irony is that the record 0-60s by all the reviewing magazines were done using LC and you can bet they tried every way under the sun to get the best launch (just like they did with the Raptor R to figured out how to get it off the line well).

I have a 2021 with 18,000 miles. I’ve used Launch Control less than five times. I‘ve probably done another five launches without launch control (10 total at most combined). I’d like to think my truck has been fairly babied. In short, most TRX’s have been pushed a little. That’s why there is a 70k factory warranty. If the truck checks out it’s probably a good truck if the price is right.
The warranty info is so confusing.
If you google 2023 TRX warranty it will tell you it has 3YR 36k basic and 100k powertrain.
you say 70K and the WS says the below...

That's because google can't differentiate between models, the diesel has a 100k powertrain, the gas engines all have 60k.

These trucks are made to be driving. I wouldn't be deterred by someone that launched theirs 100 times. I'd be more focused on maintenance and whether or not those launches were done at operating temp or while cold.

My mistake, I thought it was 70,000.

I also bought an extended warranty that is bumper to bumper for 75,000 miles, so I might have confused myself a little.

I have never launched mine………22 with 1,000 miles

I have launch on my 911 and use it plenty, in fact almost every time I take it out. It's meant to be used and driven , it's not for beauty.

I used mine any time I thought someone was going to take a hit on me in the AMG.

I used it several times when I purchased the TRX but not a single person has taken a hit on it so I haven't used it in awhile. My TRX thinks it is a Jeep now so it doesn't want to race.

I can’t believe the number of people here that have never launched their truck, launch control or not! IMO that is the best feature of the truck. These trucks really aren’t that “fast” but they launch hard!
