Once your build gets a Vin can you still change something?

I submitted my build and was waiting for it to get picked up. During that time I was able to see my first couple of TRX's in person. One of the ones I saw had the red accent in the interior and the other one had the normal grey. I originally ordered the red accent option but decided I liked the grey better now that I have seen both in person. I was just about to call the dealership to have them change it for me when I got a phone call that my order was excepted and was issued a Vin # Obviously I am super excited! However, I still want to remove the red accent option. Does anyone know if it is anyway possible to change an option once your build has already been issued a Vin#. I can live with the Red Accent it's not that bad but for a truck that is $100,000 you should be able to get exactly what you want. Just wondering if it is possible? Thanks for any input.

Gotch ya, that's what I figured! I am actually okay with the Red Accent, I just rather have the grey. And I should definitely get what I want for the price of the vehicle. If I wasn't okay with it I would expect them to accommodate me! As much as I'd rather have my truck built without it I just don't want to go through the hassle to change it with the dealership! My truck is still in D status so it should still be possible. Again, for the price of this truck they should be able to accommodate me.

I’m the opposite. I ordered a truck in granite TR2 without the red/carbon/sunroof/etc. Ended up with an every option blue truck. I personally love the red stitching. I could take or leave the red leather but the red stitch makes it feel more special inside to me.

My Truck is Black with the Grey/Silver Beadlock Wheels. My Tulle Surf Racks are also Silver/Grey. I was trying to keep with the Black Grey Theme but you are right! Your dealer would need to get their regional rep involved but its possible. @KnightMare actually did the opposite and went from gray to red soo if the dealer wants to get it done, they can. Congrats on getting a VIN!

I would personally leave it be. The screens in the car are red. The red package makes the interior feel special. But I really like surprising interiors. My RR is basically granite on the outside with cream leather interior.

If that full red interior from the TH was available I probably would have done it on the TRX

Yeah. I wish they did recaro sport bucket seats with a red interior. Like how the Raptors have the blue seat package. These were actually so comfortable and great around corners.

They didn’t do this because they didn’t expect people to actually turn. I don’t know what the skidpad is but I think my max lateral g is just under .8 and there have been no parking lot shenanigans

I don’t see why you can’t change things on your order. I changed the paint to Granite Crystal from White, removed the bed cover, and added the Carbon Fiber Package. Two days later I got the new build sheet. I just called the man in charge of ordering vehicles at my dealership.

It depends what status your in.... if you are in D or especially D1 usually the dealer needs to contact the regional FCA rep. It can be done, but some dealers don’t care and are lazy, so they tell you it can’t get changed. If you have a good or great dealer usually they will facilitate it for you. Cheers.

I've made edits to my order a few days before I went into D1 status. A rep can force the change if needed.
