Oil Life

TRX uses synthetic oil right? I also found it strange that the oil life isn't similar to other high performance cars which would go like 10-12. Also based on driving style. I've done two oil changes in 11k. Mostly city driving

Its all marketing. 6 months or 5k miles is bogus.
Maybe on the penzoil its needed. But other brands like Amsoil or Redline have tons of life left at 5k.

I run amosil in all my vehicles. My honda just turned 200k with changes at 12k each time. Pulled valve cover at 175k for valves and everything was perfect in spec. No issues. My 2007 ram has 160k on it changed at 12k zero engine issues.

Trx i changed at 501 miles from penzoil to Amsoil. Never looked back. Did change at 5k because my oil got realy black. Probably scrubbing all the bad oil out. The next one im running out to 12k. Just rest the oil life (millege monitor) when it get down.
Technically you could just rest every months with in reason if worried about warranty.
Good luck

Regarding warranty- I’ve seen a few posts where warranty was denied because the owner couldn’t prove they followed the oil change schedule as per the owners manual. If you do oil changes yourself, I’d suggest keeping a detailed log with receipts. Just resetting the oil life monitor won’t help.
