Thanks for your feedback and input. I suggested they put two passive steering locks the top plus the bottom one and yes they can cut the wheel until nothing is left for them to drive the car away. With the bottom bar to the brake pedal good luck with them having all the space and time to do that easily unless like I said the truck is in an abandoned area where they have the time and privacy. A 1 in 5 chance the guy cuts his leg when he has to cut the bottom portion of the steering wheel.

The reason I wont use igla because it operates on security by obscurity hiding the unit where it cant be detected to the point where you as the owner dont know what the heck they are doing and where something needs to be removed or debugged if there was a problem. I don't feel comfortable at being at the mercy of this device simply because it does its job like compustar locking out the starter but part of doing the job is keeping things secret where they claim they dont want thieves to know how to remove it. You as a vendor knows that is where it delays the thief thus it is just as vulnerable as all options without this secrecy. Im just trying to approach the objective from the same concept but different solution at a lower cost and piece of mind. Lastly I dont like how igla is being sold heavily by a fear driven marketing that these trucks are so easy to be stolen by a simple security flaw.

Reality is most cars get stolen because people dont know how to think like how thieves think and end up being a victim from simple complacency and lack of awareness to the environment they are in.
