No offense but it should be an automated msg from the mods to all new members upon joing that way it can cut down on the "hey I'm new and my truck was stolen last night at the airport" threads being created every other day.

It really happens that often? I hope the IGLA and compustar seriously cut down on the number of trucks stolen. Are there cases of trucks still being stolen with those installed?

No, quite the opposite. Its the “it will never happen to” and “I have insurance” people mostly. Then complain they lose 10k plus and can’t get insurance after

My 2023 Ram TRX was stolen from an apartment complex parking lot in Scottsdale, AZ yesterday. Unbelievable.

I was warned by a cop in Florida that they were highly stolen. He stopped me as I was in a parking lot and said he had 3 stolen in his district in a month.

I’m mad at myself for not getting this install. I looked into it but the installers were not anywhere near me.

It’s ridiculous. RAM should have this as an option when buying or figure out a more secure system. I build software for a living; I know things can be better.

Trucks this expensive. No excuse.

It's truly sad that very few of us believe what it happening, so we use what tools we know work to slow it way down or stop it. The rest prefer to get there truck stolen first then believe it. If you are not going to spend the money in keep your TRX safe at least get 4 wheel boots to slow it way down and use them every time. You will quickly decide on adding the best security to the truck so they don't have to install the boots every time etc. Then the rest of us pay high insurance due to the owners that got there TRX's stolen.

Boots are removed pretty quickly too with a cylinder lock pick and screwdriver. Also does nothing to actually stop the theft regardless of the method they use. This is the world we live in. Thank a politician, any of them…

Insurance rates will be going up for everyone because of the “I don’t need anti theft, I have insurance” and the politicians not charging the ones stealing them.
