Go into your uconnect under vehicle, settins and doors/locks and turn your passive door handles off. Then keep the factory remote in your pocket, its only used for the immo start signal. Then take the t13 and double press the center button fast, that will open the functions menu. Then press the unlock button to scroll right to the passive arming, then press the center to turn it off. If you scroll left to the proximity thats the automatic unlocking. You can turn that off as well and take all your commands from that t13 or the dronemobile app. Thanks Josh. Luckily the previous owner already installed compustar T13 + Drone. Before I purchased it, I already had an appointment to get IGLA installed. So the very next morning after taking delivery, I was already driving down to the install shop. They gave me a very thorough demo on the service mode, pin change mode, and to store the fobs without batteries in a safe location.
After owning it for 2 days now, I have not enjoyed my experience with compustar. At first the passive arming was enabled. So while I was checking out the vehicle (opening doors, closing doors), it kept getting armed within 30 seconds, and the alarm kept going off. I learned how to turn that feature off. I still have passive unlocking enabled. But this morning at 6am, if the cold start (remote start via compustar) didn't wake up my neighbors, then sure enough the 105db siren definitely did. When I walked up to my TRX, the proximity failed to disarm, but when i touched my rear door handle to throw my work backpack in there, the door unlocked (via "Keyless Enter 'N Go" feature by RAM), and when I opened it, the siren went off. Not being 100% familiar with the T13 remote, it took me what felt like a minute to disarm it. I have confirmed that passive unlocking was indeed enabled after double clicking the center button of the T13 to get into settings.
edit1: changing the thread title from 'New Member' to "New Member - Need Compustar Help" to get traction on my issue.
You can or “technically” you can hide the key in there. The keylocker has a battery emulator that goes inside it and plugs into the keylocker so you can leave it inside without having to ever change the battery in it.Thanks for the feedback! I’ve disabled the door handles in uconnect settings.
Another question @Air’d outSRT: previous owner installed a Drone KL1 keylocker device in the center console. Is it safe to store the factory ram keyfob in the KL1 since I have compustar T13 and IGLA?
I haven’t seen the KL1 mentioned in our TRX forum.
