Mount 37” spare

Rip out the plastic shroud. Wrap the 37" spare around the tread with aluminum tape.

I think I can do it without the tape. Just needs more space between the exhaust and a couple heat shields. The plastic is gonna get pulled probably

Ha! Reminds me of the time I dropped the pipes off of my brand new 2011 Camaro SS. I used an old Dremel tool with a dozen small cutoff wheels. It took an hour in the gravel driveway but man did that sound better!

I doubt it will fit either but getting custom straight pipes. If I slightly reroute the exhaust and cut part of the plastic around factory spare it might fit.

on the compressor was planning on getting the truck then checking it out. The pre-filled tanks look pretty easy vs powered compressor. Just need to have a welding supply refill it

Yes the tanks are super easy. But they take up space and need to be refilled. A compressor is very small and always ready to go. I also have a 3 gal holding tank that I will mount underneath and to the frame somewhere. It allows for faster fills.

Did you get a 37 to fit under the bed? What was your solution to this?

Yes the tanks are super easy. But they take up space and need to be refilled. A compressor is very small and always ready to go. I also have a 3 gal holding tank that I will mount underneath and to the frame somewhere. It allows for faster fills.

I just saw my old post and thought I might update it. I had to abort the tank on my compressor because I couldn’t find a place under the truck to mount it. There is literally nowhere that I could find that was large enough to put even a 2 gal tank.

Crazy idea, but what about inside one of the huge rear fenders? Pull down the wheel liner and I am sure that there is tons of space in there. May need to use two smaller tanks, but there has to be plenty of room.

Any word on a 37 fitting under the bed?

Yes I thought about this location. I can’t recall if I went digging in there or not. I feel like I looked in there and thought it was too tight. The twin tank idea seems interesting though.

Something like this seems like it could work. Almost 3gal from a 5”x32” tank. ~$150 is not bad either.
