I think I can do it without the tape. Just needs more space between the exhaust and a couple heat shields. The plastic is gonna get pulled probablyRip out the plastic shroud. Wrap the 37" spare around the tread with aluminum tape.

Do you need an excuse?Hmmmm. Could this be a legitimate excuse for exhaust mods??!![]()
Yes the tanks are super easy. But they take up space and need to be refilled. A compressor is very small and always ready to go. I also have a 3 gal holding tank that I will mount underneath and to the frame somewhere. It allows for faster fills.I doubt it will fit either but getting custom straight pipes. If I slightly reroute the exhaust and cut part of the plastic around factory spare it might fit.
on the compressor was planning on getting the truck then checking it out. The pre-filled tanks look pretty easy vs powered compressor. Just need to have a welding supply refill it
I just saw my old post and thought I might update it. I had to abort the tank on my compressor because I couldn’t find a place under the truck to mount it. There is literally nowhere that I could find that was large enough to put even a 2 gal tank.Yes the tanks are super easy. But they take up space and need to be refilled. Crazy idea, but what about inside one of the huge rear fenders? Pull down the wheel liner and I am sure that there is tons of space in there. May need to use two smaller tanks, but there has to be plenty of room.I just saw my old post and thought I might update it. Yes I thought about this location. I can’t recall if I went digging in there or not. I feel like I looked in there and thought it was too tight. The twin tank idea seems interesting though.Crazy idea, but what about inside one of the huge rear fenders? Pull down the wheel liner and I am sure that there is tons of space in there. Any word on a 37 fitting under the bed?
Something like this seems like it could work. Almost 3gal from a 5”x32” tank. ~$150 is not bad either.Yes I thought about this location. I can’t recall if I went digging in there or not. I feel like I looked in there and thought it was too tight. The twin tank idea seems interesting though.
Have you tried this yet?I think I can do it without the tape. Just needs more space between the exhaust and a couple heat shields. The plastic is gonna get pulled probably
Sadly, Bambi isn’t going to replyHave you tried this yet?
What if you heat wrapped the pipe near the tire?
