I can’t imagine what I would replace the TRX with? It’s a fantastic daily driver, hunting truck, boat tower, and long road tripper vehicle.

Well-said. What's seems a lifetime ago, that Bronco order I placed has yet to even be fulfilled--and over a year ago I thankfully realized a loaded Bronco would never be enough truck for me. And after that year, the TRX is still is the go-anywhere, do anything truck, road trips, hauling, off-road wilderness it's been the perfect vehicle that always seems like a limousine inside. Yesterday, I valet-parked at the W hotel, and the fellas there were more interested in the TRX than the lambos (valet mode, alas!). Go figure. Let's see when the Hummer 3XEV SUV comes in....maybe 2 years at this point. LOL.

One point the authors made was how livable the truck is day-to-day. Though I've said this before, One of the most impressive aspects to me with this truck, after a year of ownership, is not the speed, power, or off-road chops, but just how responsive and composed this beast of a truck is backing up and in slow speed situations. This is a precision-focused engine and drive train that immediately respond to driver input. I would never have expected that in a 700hp truck.

Not sure you guys follow TFL on youtube, they sold the TRX to get the F150 Lightning believing the hype Ford was promoting while they rushed that truck into production.

Turns out they already sold it barely having owned it for just a few months.
As many here pointed, the Lighting is a boring truck that cant back many of Fords claims to say the least, especially range per charge. This week they posted a new video of the Hummer EV which replaced the Lighting and have also already left them hanging on the side of the road.

The Hummer EV is however my personal favorite if I had been forced to go electric. I'm still hoping though RAM comes through with something as aggressive and same lines as the TRX into the EV line.

This truck has for many(myself included)proven to be so much more than just a truck. Hard shoes to fill to say the least

Anyone notice MT never mentioned the driveline clunk or any loose fuses? Makes you wonder the percentage of trucks that have these issues.

I fortunately have not had a single issue with mine since picking it up in June. No Uconnect issues, no lean, no clunk, no loose fuses, nothing. Well, maybe except I think there is a hole in my gas tank, because that thing is almost empty every day! Haha

Never had an issue either but the hole in the tank should definitely be looked into

I would say they got lucky. 4 TRXs in my neighborhood that I know of…maybe more folks I don’t know by now. 3 have the lean and all of us has the klunk within 10k miles.

I have a 2022 May build date. Since S24 Uconnect update, Uconnect has been less "buggy". I am starting to feel the "clunk" @ ~6k-7k miles, but still not noticeable for me enough to call it "bad". Setting tire pressures to 36 Rear, 37-38 Front has resolved 50% of the "axel hopping" that i was feeling on rough highways.

Easy to see what the problem with the hood graphics is. they didn't remove the protective layer, armature mistake. too late now you can't get it off .

Probably because they rushed one out to the magazine or something but anyone with graphics might want to check them good . if it's too late make a warranty claim within 36 months.

I installed the hood graphics package myself and maintain it with some "back to black" conditioner when I go over the black plastics in the truck.

Truck decals will degrade faster if you live in a hotter than normal area and you def will see longer life by maintaining them.

I think in either Part 2 or Part 3 they mentioned the clunk.

TBH, TFL is in the Automobile Media industry. They have no desire to hold on any vehicle for too long. With a limited budget, they need to be one of the first buyers, make as many contents out of the vehicles as possible then sell them out and recycle their cashflow. but I have to admit that they featured their TRX in more contents than any other vehicles they ever had.

Absolutely, I just remembered them saying they were sad to sell the TRX and "excited" because the Lightning would be coming in. Then they sold it way before the usual kept term and now are already on to the hummer.
It sure got old very quick

Take a look at their Hummer taking a shit on them with 200 miles on it. Sure doesn‘t give me a lot of hope with this particular EV.

Yeah I saw that. Worries me too because when EVs go down it could be tough to know what is going on. In the video I think the tow truck guy saved the day by resetting something with the battery as the dash showed some faulty message.

The Hummer ev at least is big, rough looking features, removable top so I can see it must still be a fun vehicle besides being electric. Those rims look horrible and I hate it in white. All this EV tech people brag about would get old very quick with me. That tiny Rivian is quick but I would get annoyed with it in a few short days I'm sure

I get the impression they have a pretty tight budget for buying vehicles and wanted to capitalize on the strong used value for the Lightning to buy the more expensive Hummer. If they got their Lariat Lightning and Hummer at MSRP, it's not unlikely the Lightning sale nearly paid for the Hummer (especially after taking into account the $7500 tax benefit).

Edit to add they apparently only got MSRP for it after 13k miles, but believe Colorado only pays tax on the difference between trade in value and new car value (hummer at MSRP) and I assume (a) they can write off value as a business expense and (b) the Lightning was eligible for the $7500 fed tax benefit plus any Colorado tax benefits.

They buy and sell for tax purposes. End of the story no need to rile up to the idea they "desired" the lightning or the hummer. It's just taxes.
