Just ordered the advanced one of these;

Has a good list of items including pneumo-thorax chest seal, nasal airway, scalpels, quickclot, etc

Good find all set up.
The Advanced kit is nice. Add a couple more pressure bandages, a soft t wide tourniquet (more advanced and 2 is better) and a swat tourniquit (kids), plus couple of powqdered quick clot or celox. Addd some other stuff depending on preferences like wound honey or similar.
5.11 and some others make great mounts for putting those kits on your headrest.

Yeah. I was a paramedic in another life so like to have the als shit. Good suggestions. Always freaked me out working on seriously injured kids.

it has quick clot but never hurts to have more.

I was looking for something like this, since I'm outside now lol

Mine stays in the truck

Any worry about heat degrading anything in there? My truck is outside 24/7
I haven’t had any issues. Majority of the ointments are in sealed wet wipe type packages. Everything from MyMedic is top notch.

I would personally replace the quick clot every once in a while. They do expire.

it’s still going to work but if I’m dumping quick clot on something, shit is pretty bad

Correct. I bought the military style tourniquet and my doctor buddy gave me a suture kit.

In a pinch you can make a tourniquet out of nearly anything but nice to have a “real” one. Same with a chest seal. You can make it out of any flexible plastic like saran wrap and tape 3 sides. Quickclot, sutures and nasal airways not so much

I think it only has QC bandage, not powder which can be used differently.
kids are rough mentally and all the parts are smaller.

Yep. - body stapler, more steristrips or butterflies, or the new hook type wound closures would be nice.
used real table honey many times as antibiotic.

I need to get another stapler.

i also always chuck a sharpie in them so you can write the time for tourniquets and whatever else

Yep QC gets hard eventually so replace it - dont know if you can shave it off or not - never researched that.

Also for snakebite swelling timing.

Heat eventually degrades everything but no way around except regularly change to newer.
old is still usually better than none, except certain limited meds that become toxic.

I had to build many trauma/active shooter kits for schools and just envisioning b ad scenarios with lots of kids was not fun.

Still makes me cringe inside. Had to do that bone screw IV once. I still can feel the squeaking
