Mammoth 1000

Hm, they quoted a friend last year $40k out the door but that was including tax and dual tunes. Perhaps they lowered their price too. Either way, $35k with tax for 1000chp is just spending half your money on badges.
Pretty much. And mind you, a big chunk of my cost went to sound via MF Exhaust, ARH Headers/Mids/GESI Cats, and Cams. That's probably 8k P&L right there.

i'm making nearly 900rwhp for probably $10k less than what it costs to get a HP1000 and I would smoke the shit out of it.

Or you could just bolt on the Ripa Twin Turbo kit and call it a day Lol.
If you want to actually turn up the boost on that TT kit to reach the volumetric efficiency range on the turbos then it’s going to be time to build the motor..at least the bottom end. And if you are building the motor then you may as well just ditch the 2.4L blower that will be holding you back and just go custom TT kit in the engine bay.

Honestly if I needed a good easy way to get a divorce finalized quickly I'd just go get a loan on a 426 to drop in.

Yup, Morris (on this forum) had the fastest blower only TRX for awhile and was making over 1000chp with just pulleys, e85 setup, TB and ported snout/bearing plate. Roughly $7k in parts. Stock exhaust. Adding headers actually didn’t net him any meaningful gains. 1000hp is easy to achieve on these motors but, as you know, once you are flirting with those numbers then longevity goes out the window on the stock bottom end.

I wanted the sound, but honestly having the boost pressure drop from better airflow is probably worth it in the long run regardless. But now I can't drive anywhere without someone stopping me at a light, grocery store parking lot, anywhere I go without saying "That truck sounds fucking insane".

It is better flow but from what I have heard it’s really just the cats holding back. The log headers seem to flow pretty well. I understand on the sound. Loved my cammed V. And will do cutouts on the TRX whenever I can install the pile of parts in the garage (once that damn S&B intake arrives).

Freaking intake is the bane of my existence right now, I hear you on that. I had the aFe pre-ordered in Oct of last year, by the time 2022 hit I was tired of the BS and cancelled for S&B, only for aFe to start shipping in April and S&B to get delayed into this month. If they delay again I'm going to lose my mind.

Right with you. I know I could install everything else now and tune (and shouldn’t have to retune with the intake)but we are going to look really closely as boost levels and how the motor likes the shitty gas in AZ and high temps. And I know the intake is going to impact that. Since I’m doing the wrenching myself I also don’t feel like pulling the intake twice.

Yeah can't imagine. Obviously the truck is supposed to do well under temp being it's a Baja truck technically but in terms of all out speed (especially when it comes to road/track racing) temp and elevation both matter a hell of a whole lot. AZ have shitty 93 or just 91 or what? Honestly I haven't looked back since the E85 tune. The cons are so insignificant compared to the extra power and cooling capability over using 93.

91 octane and the closest e85 station is 20 miles. Blah.

If I want more power on demand an FI inter chiller or some spray seem to be the most reasonable.

This would be the route I take. The guys at demon performance have some tempting prices!

I need to meet you halfway between VA and GA someday so we can make a nice video with a couple of thousand horsepower Rex's tearing up some terrain.
I was at VIR 2 weeks ago. Would have been a great time to get together.

I have another off-road event in a few months in S Carolina if you want to come check it out. That would be a fun weekend showing all the Raptors up. 🤣😂🤣

What internals are you running on the motor? Swap in an LME bottom end?
All stock at the moment, been running it that way for around 10k miles now. All that may change soon, just ordered the Ripatuned TTRX kit, shooting for around 1250-1300 on E85. That might be the breaking point.

I don’t know how much it can handle, but I know how much I’m going to use!! 😂🤣😂🤣

The HP should be 1,000 or more at the crank using 93 octane tune. I'm using the 91 octane tune and that 765hp is at the wheels measures by a dyno.
Thanks. The 1,000 HP seems like false advertising then.

It is, it's not even 1000 crank on 93. The Mammoth 900 should be called the Mammoth 800 and the Mammoth 1000 should be called the Mammoth 900, but that doesn't sound as "cool" does it?
Marketing company first and builder/shop second.

Searched high and low….haven’t seen anyone here or on the Facebook group ask….what are the exact specs of the Hennessey wheel/tire setup with the 37s? I love the stance of it on their website and would like to replicate that. Possibly using method wheels with BFGs…but unsure of the wheel offsets and whether a leveling kit is required to prevent rubbing. Anyone know?

Speaking of going lengths to justify 😂

As I said at the beginning, some folks prioritize getting the most for their money. Some don’t. And some prioritize badging and the name on their vehicle for exclusivity. The joke among car guys for Hennessy was usually instead of “bought, not built” it was “bought 3x, not built.”

For some people though that is what they want. Exclusivity and never touching a wrench.
I’ve built all of these, you are pattin yourself on the back - I’m the real deal mechanic, mind your betters -
