Level 2 Deep Dive?

So I have a truck on order that is stuck in D status, but found a dealer bringing one in (currently in transit) that has similar options but there is a major question regarding the Level 2 package.

The window sticker shows Level 2 at $7750 with a list of options that does not include HK, HUD or the digital rearview mirror. My order has had the Level 2 increased to $9995 and god willing it will have all those options.

I've heard mixed things (i.e. at the old price you might get them and you might not). The dealer tells me there is no way to know until it arrives, but my concern is it will sell before it even arrives. My issue is that I'm not willing to commit unless I know the options are on it.

Anyone been in this situation and can you share how it all shook out? Is there really no way for the dealer to know without physically having the truck?

If you have a VIN, then ask for a detailed POC (priced order confirmation). Detailed. It will tell you exactly what’s included in the Level 2 package.

The expanded POC shows all three options included, but not a guarantee. I'd like to think they are, but need to think if I wanna commit and take the risk?!?

If it’s on the POC then you can justify walking away from the deal if those are missing upon delivery.

I sound like a broken record here, but you should ask for a new detailed POC to confirm what is currently shown for your build. That gives you some level of protection in case it doesn’t get built that way.

Here’s just what I’ve experienced. I have a 21 Level 2 with technology pkg. Meaning I have the HUD. It has everything loaded but without Harmon Kardon. I have a 22 Level 2 on order. The difference is they added the 1200 for Harmon and 1200 for technology package to the 7500 for level 2 and made it a 10k option. No ala carte in 22. You want level 2 you get it all. Sunroof and other options are separate like in 21. In a 90k truck it better have those high line options. That’s why I did buy the Ford Craptor.

Mine was 7750 at the start and was said to contain tech and HK. After order was accepted it went 9995 and initially I was aggregated until a member got their truck with 7750 lvl 2 and no tech or HK. If the 9995 is needed to guarantee the options after waiting 4-6 months I’m good with it. Lol

We have to enjoy the 8 cyl thunder while we can. Trucks are going electric and gas or just electric. I think the TRX will always be worth it’s weight in gold.

I talked to my dealer today about my detailed level 2 package. Everything that I ordered was on there with the exception of the red interior accents. I asked him about this and he said that the packages are literally changing every day due to supply and demand. He said as of right now the level 2 equipment package is not even close to what it was when I ordered mine back in September. I just played devils advocate and went online to see what the level 2 equipment package lists now for a 2022 build and it's not even available at this time. It also didn't let me pick any paint color other than black or two tone with the silver. Not sure how accurate the website is but the whole thing is interesting to me. According to my dealer, he said whatever was available on the level 2 equipment package when I ordered it is what I'll get. I guess my dealer screwed up when I ordered because the red interior accents upgrade is not listed on my build which sucks but it isn't a deal breaker for me.

The website is wrong and lvl2 can be ordered. Was the red accent option on your original poc? Not the new one you just got but the one they gave you when you ordered.
