Larger Fuel Tank for RAM TRX

I reached out to the company that Installed but they couldn't help me get a lead on getting the tank here to the US. I also emailed brown Davis but never got a reply. I'm wondering if Titan tanks has one that may work
This is the response I received from Long Range America:
When it comes to our RAM 1500 tank fitting: no idea? Ha. Most likely it will not. Lots of factors: frame rail width, mounting locations, long travel suspension disruption, fuel sending unit and locking plates may be significantly different from 5.7Hemi.

Will need to get our hands on one once they are out and look at it.

With published fuel economy figures ... Fuel tank upgrade is something straight forward obvious. Like Toyota Tundra when upgraded from 26 gallons to 38 gallons

Either loose exhaust, or spare tire, or mount a tank in the bed

Yeah I agree. I have read a little about the bed mounted tanks that also auto transfer the fuel. However I definitely don’t know much about it. But a 30 or 40 gal extra tank sure would be nice for long hauls.

I don't think having a loose exhaust would sound too good. I would rather fill up more often than have my exhaust rattling around.
I want better fuel range. Most people buying a 700hp, $90K truck are not really looking for a compromise.

Could go concept style...

Another 30 gallons of fuel is about 190lbs, so the payload would go down to 800 on some builds!

That would be sad, but then you can use it as an excuse to adopt a healthier lifestyle so that might be ok. Funny thing about all the payload talk, the Power Wagon and the TRX have nearly identical payload ratings (to include dipping below 1000lbs in fully dressed trim) and I have personally seen power wagons with rooftop tents and a ton (literally 2k lbs) of overlanding gear heading off down the trail with no issue (it was a very wide trail).

Another option, you could get an overlanding rack, mount some cool looking fuel cells to the sides and carry a bunch of extra fuel. No mods needed if you got the bed utility group and find a rack that will mount to the rails.

As per latest fuel economy numbers and in order to meet a 375 Mile /tank (my own criteria) the ideal fuel tank size should be between 40 to 44 Gallon against (33 as spec)

Agree. I’m not surprised about the fuel economy, just disappointed about the fuel capacity. This will be my daily driver & I average between 25K & 30K miles a year. Would have preferred to make it 400+ miles per tank. Fueling up 2 & 3 times a week is very annoying after a while.

30K miles a year?!?!?!?!?! keep us posted with high mileage reliability, I haven't seen the hellcat platform with more than about 75K miles (im guessing the 10 mpg of premium at best is a big reason for this).

I also plan on this being my daily driver but I only drive about 10K miles per year and can't comprehend a vehicle that I would want to replace this one with so I'm looking at hopefully 20 years of useful life before I have to rebuild the engine or transmission or finally give in to the "market demands" of going to electric which I'm sure is all that will be available new in 2040

On reliability i believe its too early to make any comments. It would need more time and anyhow electric trucks will be here in couple of years including RAM built truck. With Electricals trucks and SUV you are talking about new entire reliability category much higher and cheaper. What we will miss is the sound and aggressive fuel engine performance.

For now Fuel Tank capacity is very big ticket against ram considering much lower EPG during towing and baja off-roading

the ram replacement tanks r for diesel fuel and for the large rear cargo boxes. no official approval for under bed gasoline tanks. the australian vendor will start building in 2/21 but not sure can get approval in us. could use 2 15g titan sidekick tanks or build a 30g custom tank and install in bed with pump.

This is and additional spare tank installed in place of spare tire. I would like to see a larger tank to replace stock at same allocated spot.
I would be interested in a larger tank to replace existing one if it's possible.

There are several US based after market manufacturer for in bed fuel tank like this one

Sound promising

The reason they used 33 is payload. My guess is a loaded trx will have less than 1000 pound payload.

When you look at all half ton trucks with crew cab and high end trim the payload is quite low on all of them...
