I ordered my TRX from Koons in VA and it getting it courtesy delivered to AZ at no charge except the normal shipping charge on the window sticker.Awesome idea. Interested to know how this has worked for anyone who has tried it, in particular with a dealer in a different (more distant) delivery area. Any success stories from out here on the left coast/PNW?
how much is the transportation? Koons in VA to AZ is 2.5k miles..with diesel so high I'm curious how much you were quotedI ordered my TRX from Koons in VA and it getting delivered to AZ.
there's 2 dancummins dealers. The one on the forum is Louisville, KY. Regardless both are closer to him but Koons can be cheaper for his buildisn't it dan cummins in paris, KY is closer to you?

Just checked to make sure but it's about a 30 mile difference between the two and I wanted to stop by DC on the way as well. The pricing was roughly the same.there's 2 dancummins dealers. No charge. they are shipping it straight from the factory to AZ. The factory already pre bills the shipping on the MSRP.how much is the transportation? Koons in VA to AZ is 2.5k miles..with diesel so high I'm curious how much you were quoted
how could you convince koons to ship it directly to AZ from VA? What am I missing? Why are we picking up or paying 3rd parties to ship it if it can be done by Stellantis. How did you do it? Dealer has to do PDI ..Who does the PDI?No charge. they are shipping it straight from the factory to AZ. The factory already pre bills the shipping on the MSRP.
either he got lied to or he got lied to. That's about it.how could you convince koons to ship it directly to AZ from VA? What am I missing? Why are we picking up or paying 3rd parties to ship it if it can be done by Stellantis. How did you do it? Dealer has to do PDI ..Who does the PDI?
We have thousands of members picking up cars here, on FB page and Jeepwrangler forum. Havent seen one being able to have a car shipped from factory to other dealer besides the ordering dealer. Seen one that was able to have it shipped from the ordering dealer to his local dealership but the guy was friend with the owner and owner was receiving more cars from the initial dealer. Could you please explain how you do it?
It’s called a drop ship and it is absolutely possible, just uncommon. The TRX will be delivered to a dealership in Arizona, not him directly.what you are describing is not possible. If it's not in writing it's not happening...
How can you pull it off and who has to initiate it? Why arent we all "drop-shipping"?It’s called a drop ship and it is absolutely possible, just uncommon.
That’s a great questionHow can you pull it off and who has to initiate it? Why arent we all "drop-shipping"?
I agree with you here, but then if he has that close relationship with the dealer, why would he not get the same deal at that dealer!?it's too much of a risk and no reason for dealer to do that type of business unless he is family member of the dealer or some close business partner

I got 2 quotes from dancummins...one from Miles one from Dawson (diferent vechicle same ballpark around 85k). Both times they came at the promised discount, both times the taxes were fubar in their favor. They have to disclose the taxes and when I asked to see why discrepancy on what I had, both did. Both were wrong by almost a grand , both apologized, both came back with revised taxes and final price. Dawson never asked for a follow up, Miles did. Just compare your taxes /registration/title with what your local dmv shows online once the registration is submited by them. I believe they make up the discount by raising taxes. Cant pinpoint if it's the sale person or their financial departament but 2 times 2 mistakes that were corrected only after I started asking questionsDan Cummins was awesome. Dawson Miller helped me build mine and gave me updates weekly! Ordered July 21 and picked it up Nov 21. 4 months worth it 100%
4% off dealer invoice as well, not sure if they still doing that but I do know they sell at MSRP with 1K down to place order on build. The 1K comes off final price when it’s time to sign papers![]()
Ordered mine from Dan Cummins as well, but I’m in South Carolina, where vehicle sales tax is maxed at 500.00I got 2 quotes from dancummins...one from Miles one from Dawson (diferent vechicle same ballpark around 85k). YMMV
You have to have friends in high places. I have proof. The receiving dealer has to agree to not take anything away from the selling dealer. I have to pay the salesman $250.00 for the courtesy delivery to do the u connect set up and go over the vehicle. Mostly done by business owners when they buy from another dealer and have the vehicle drop shipped to another dealer. The PDI is paid for by the factory so when it arrives in AZ the dealer here will do the PDI and get paid by Ram.either he got lied to or he got lied to. That's about it.
I offered them the sale but they would not do the $10k off MSRP that Koons was offering.I agree with you here, but then if he has that close relationship with the dealer, why would he not get the same deal at that dealer!?
I figured as much, congrats man, sounds like it’s working out well.I offered them the sale but they would not do the $10k off MSRP that Koons was offering.
