Just purchased 23. (Sacramento Area)

Not true but to each their own. A warranty defect is a defect, a scratch or dent fix is something you’d put on the due bill when you go to sign paperwork. All of us who didn’t buy locally, which I rarely do, get the same warranty service as the next guy. Spreading false info to make yourself feel better that you paid more than you had to is on you.
I’m not spreading any information. I’m just sharing my experience of warranty issues in California. And specifically the dealers around the Sacramento area which are known to be horrible. And yes the Roseville and Sacramento dealer were not interested in helping with a brand new truck. I have a whole post about it somewhere with Pictures.

In California buying at MSRP is a win. If feels great walking in and ordering at MSRP instead of calling around trying to save some money on a 100k truck. Driving half the country to go back home. I’m familiar with all the below msrp dealers. I explained why I’m not interested else where. I lose $5000 leaving my businesses for two days. I’m not trying to to drive or have it shipped from else where.

I found the right dealer for me personally. And it felt good ordering like a boss and not try to beg for few thousands off… thousands of Miles away from home. If $7000 is a problem I suggest not buying a 100k car. But that’s me personally. I dont buy anything if it’s not paid in full!

By the way, you can read on few different Facebook groups and the nightmare stories of TRX breaking down and different dealers giving them different Information about coverage. It’s not just me!

You have to read my other posts to understand.

But long story short, like I said in my other posts I bought 22 Laramie brand new that had paint spots on the hood and tear drops under the hood. I bought the car an hour away from where I lived. When I brought the car to the local dealers they told me to kick rocks basically. Since I didn’t buy it there. I’m not trying to buy a TRX out of state. And have it ship on a train and then another trailer. I want to be able to refuse it on the spot if need to!

The dealer that I just found 30min away from me. (Which is great comparing to dodge dealers in California). Also have their own collusion center. And do everything in house. If needed.

You have to live in California to understand how gangster-like dodge dealers are here. So finding a good one that will take care of you is rare. Especially in popular cities.
I bought my RAM from a different dealer than the one that's serviced it without issue in the Bay Area just fine.
In fact, they've gone above and beyond by reaching out to me about new TSBs popping up and offering to service them before I even hear about them on this forum.

Sorry to hear things are so brutal up in Sac. 🙏

That’s an amazing dealer that you have then.

What dealer are you taking yours to? Closest to me is Antioch but haven’t heard great things about them.

can you share the agreement? several others also said the same, it's very hard to believe but when i heard about the %4 below invoice was also hard to believe until i got mine :) Thank you
McGrath of Cedar Rapids.
The deal is good until the 23 comes in.

It may have to do something with me telling them that every time I buy a new vehicle, I give them a chance and they won't compete. I did it all by email. They did lowball me with the first offer. I said "here we go again" the next offer was 6 000 less, I asked for 2,000 more and they agreed. I have it in writing. No mention of miles or time. My 22 was bought at a different dealer with the same guarantee but would do it for me again.

Enjoy man. I got mine from Dan Cummins in Kentucky for 4% under. I live in cali. I just hate this state so much, I rather spend money elsewhere to not feed the cali commies more of my money they dont deserve. I still had to pay Cali taxes though. No issues though, arrived flawless...better condition than i expected....but even if it didn't, i wasn't going to refuse the car unless it had a major issue on it. ordered June 2021, arrived late august 2022.

I live in sacramento area as well, I bought from Chapmen. And can’t tell you how much better the experience was than any dealer close to me! Flawless! And fully loaded lvl 2 for can’t even say the price don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelingsView attachment 53936View attachment 53937
What wheels are those? I assume you kept the OEM tires.

Amen brother! If someone can afford a $100k truck, they can afford a moving van and a map pointed anywhere east.

Hilltop CDJR in Richmond. Their lead advisor has been a great POC for me.

I'm sure there are plenty of people on this very message board that could buy multiple TRXs many times over without a significant dent in their finances. It doesn't mean that they should be arbitrarily pissing away 10-11 thousand dollarbucks when hassle free options exist not to (or that they somehow now can't afford a $100k toy).

Congrats, those turds wouldn’t even give me a ring back when I told them I’m not paying mark up. Hope they have good allocation. I wanted and was tempted to order out of state for the discount too..but shipping here would of been ~4k, and I have never ordered a brand new vehicle out of state and didn’t know if I would have to deal with DMV out of state transfer crap

Thanks, DMV is not a problem. But from what I read lemon laws can be a problem. What’s the chances of getting a lemon though. But that’s just one thing. For me it’s other things too. Like I’m not trying to lose money leaving my business for couple days. and on top of that putting 2000 miles on a truck that might be rare in the future.

where in California are you?

Agreed. See that’s one thing I didn’t fully understand, if I were to buy out of state, would I of had to pay state transfer fees? Would taxes of been adjusted since Ca tax is higher? Out of state dealers couldn’t really answer my question on this but wanted me to sign on the dotted haha…I’m in the Manteca area man! Out in Sacramento every now and then..how about you?

So there are no transfer fees. As far as taxes you only pay your taxes on your county or city so that never changes no matter where you buy it from. I got mine shipped from Chapman for a lil over 2k. I got 4% under invoice and price locked last August. The deal was probably the easiest deal buying a car I ever had. Got it Registered in about an hour at DMV and had plates right then.

If you want to buy out of state I had good talk with Mark dodge but I’m sure other dealers are fine too.

If you don’t mind paying MSRP find a good dealer around you. It’s hard to find a good ram dealer in California. It’s like they all haven’t had sex in years. Something is seriously wrong with them.

I’m in Rosevile

Oh nice, been to Roseville a few times. Yeah I called a lot of places, Manteca wanted $15k up mark and were absolutely not budging. I ended up getting one at MSRP a little more up north. But initially shot the mark up at $9k off the bat, damn near walked out of the managers office when he called back and said let’s do MSRP 🤣

They are pieces of shit. Most all of them.

Just ordered from Mark Dodge in Lake Charles, LA for 11k off a custom 2023. Give them a ring! They are a vendor on this forum. No add-ons and they price-protect. Only fee is $435. That's it!
Another vote for Mark Dodge! No BS whatsoever and I got $9,500 off my $91,365 level 1 build. They don't try to sell you any BS add-ons, don't push you to finance through them either. I'm in Houston so they're just over 2 hours away from me. I have a feeling that the drive back to Houston is gonna be much quicker than the drive to Lake Charles to pick it up.
