I just got home from driving my truck back home from Koon's. It was well worth the wait for the amazing service that I received. For those that are in a holding pattern with shipping, I was there myself. It sucks, but it is out of their hands at Koon's. That being said, DON'T DING THEM ON THE SURVEY FOR THINGS THAT ARE OUT OF THEIR CONTROL! Were are literally able to buy the TRXs from them as cheap as we can because they get incentives off of the positive survey results. Marking Koon's bad for a scratch from the factory or transport, or for a factory flaw that is out of their control will eventually and up in higher prices for us. Another dealership touched on this here in the forum in a separate thread last week.
I will absolutely order my 2023 through Koon's. Erica and Craig were both amazing to work with. They are literally working 12-13 hours a day, 7 days a week trying to deliver all of the TRXs that are flooding in at once. This was a corporate shipping issue that ended up dumping a HUGE amount of vehicles in their laps at one time. Be patient when you arrive because they are doing their best to catch up. It was a very brief paperwork process since I paid with a cashiers check and did not have a trade in. There was a learning curve with the Missouri taxes (we get a tax credit for vehicles that we sell even if we don't trade them in), but they worked through it flawlessly. I could not be happier with my purchase. It was also nice to chat with other firm members in the waiting lounge while we waited for our turn for paperwork. It is a small world once you take a minute to sit and chat with other forum members since we all have at least one common interest.
Tip- I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn directly across the street. Very nice hotel and within walking distance in the morning.
