I just got word that my TRX should be delivered in 3 weeks! Just curious what interest rates you have seen out there?
From what I've seen, the USSFCU is the best available right now. Theres some outliers out there at small random credit unions, but theyre hard to find and usually have more strict requirements to become members, such as being local.Don’t worry about the rates, apply with these folks and you’ll get the best rate possible.

Thanks! They are extremely backed up so I’d start the process yesterday if you’re at all concerned with getting the best rate.
Yes, either the Council way or Historical Society. It may take a few days to even get a response. Make sure that you get all the documents scanned and sent to them ASAP. Then follow up with a friendly phone call about a day or two later. They are truly some of the most friendly financial personnel I have talked to in a long time. They will ask you various questions, then your off to the races.Am I understanding USSFCU correctly? I just need to be a member of American Consumer Council (free with code) and I can join?
I going to be picking my truck up in a week or two, and want to get going on this. I just apply now and get preapproved, or what? It's my first time doing this (as in first loan / application), so I didn't want to screw anything up with applying and getting ready for getting the car. I'll be flying in to get the truck, so can't really run back home for something.
@DublinOH Which one is that? Any eligibility requirements?Local credit union 3.5%, dealer wanted 6% with perfect credit.
Just got approved for 4.99% for 72 months. Took about 3 weeks to get to this point. You were right, they are super backed up! Great experience so far.Don’t worry about the rates, apply with these folks and you’ll get the best rate possible.
I must've gotten lucky. I applied for an acct on Sunday night 6/26, acct was approved & opened Monday afternoon. I applied for the loan maybe Tuesday (?) & got the interview call Wed at 9pm. I was approved on Thursday, all within 3 days of opening acct. 4.49% for 60 mos. The catch is my truck is only "scheduled", so that rate will likely expire by the time it gets in.Just got approved for 4.99% for 72 months. Took about 3 weeks to get to this point. The nice lady that called to interview me was pleased I wasn't going to buy 'another tesla' with the loan. I let her know that my purchase would use up all the fuel the teslas were 'saving'.
