JL AUDIO Stealth box.

I have a
Where did you order this from? I saw a regular mti one and it just said ram and didn’t have backlighting. I’d be really interested in this style with the red “stitching” and red backlight
JL stealth box. I saw this MTI box on the site, now I’m like dammit kinda want the MTI.

My system is goin in on Friday I’ll have some reviews and pics later this week. 😂 meanwhile I saw a pic of an MTI box with JL TW3s and was like damn. It’s not stealth at all looks amazing
Wow, fuck me, I have to have this.

Oh wait, this guy spent 20k for his audio setup.

Stupid question time. Not an audiophile and too lazy to look all this up.

1. Is the steathbox just subwoofers?

2. Is the amp just to drive the steathbox?

3. Does the rest of the system in the truck have enough juice without adding more power?

Thanks. Stupid question time has now stopped. At least for now.

Yes stealth box is just subs. But that box is made specifically for this truck cab, JL put some time and effort into making the box. This stealth box sounds badass, if you don’t want a system that slams pass on this box.

Yes the 750/1 amp is for running the box which is rated for 800 watts. This lil JL amp is pretty sick.

The HK system is not bad. But it’s not great either. There is plenty of power on the stock amp to run the HK speakers though.

Hope that answers ur questions. Replacing the lower shitty gray bumper for a black one right now on the truck. Been meaning to post about mods but ya know life happens.

My new system, JL Audio Stealth Box with 2 10s and JL Audio Amp. New to the forum, have a 2023 Ram Limited. Had to go with 10s because of my reclining rear seats.

Damn, looks so clean! What do you think of the sound so far? I hate losing all that storage space, but a good set of subs is hard to beat. Had a single JL 12" in my old truck, and it would shake the mirrors so hard you couldn't see behind you. I like bass you can feel, so am curious how the 10's stack up?

Thanks! Sounds great! Only have to turn the bass nob half way for more than enough bass to shake the mirrors.

Have you looked into this setup to keep the storage space?

Hey bro, your setup is freaking great. I'm a noob to car stereo and audio so I'm pilling up a buy list. Only question I've got for you is, for the 10w3's which exact ones did you go with? They've got a ton of options now. Just want to make sure the ones I get fit into the stealth. Cheers 🍻

The stealthbox for these trucks use the 10”TW3’s. T is for thin, a regular W3 won’t fit.

The stealthboxes sound great, they are specially designed for the vehicle they are going in. I’ve always been a JL fan. I used to have 2 JL 12W7’s in a ported box with 2 of the original JL 1000/1 in an extended cab Dakota R/T.. it was kinda loud lol. Took about a 20 yr break from playing with stereos. Last year I put this stealthbox in my ‘21 Laramie with a JL RD 1000/1 and it sounds great. For the price and simplicity they can’t be beat.. imo. The stealthbox comes with subs installed.

That was a slippery slope.. installed a 8”w7 in a ported box that I made for my regular cab 1500. JL XDM 1000/5 pushing the 8w7 and some Alpine 6x9s. For my 3500 I did 2 10w6’s in a ported box by NetAudio. Had to raise the rear seat 2” but it slams. JL VXi1000 on those. I have a VXi 600/6 on the shelf and went ahead and ran wires in case I want to do the door speakers later on.

Hardest part of these install is the radio interface. I used PAC harnesses.

I wish there was something that could fit behind the seat instead of underneath. I know the factory sub is already back there, but it would be nice if you could take it out and find a way to fit two in that cavity. My underseat area has a DUHA that I use regularly, and I fold my seats up to load stuff including my dog in his soft carrier. Not sure he or the subs would appreciate being on top of them
Net audio has a behind the seat option. Plug and play, I’m considering it as I don’t want to lose my under seat storage.
