Apparently it’s common enuf that the good dealers have their pdi guys use the pull test on hoses and wires.

Unfortunately this isn’t an easy pull issue. The line itself has some defect / issue that pulling wouldn’t have made a difference on. That area is firmly secured to the vehicle but the hose attached to it was loose. I thought that was possibly the source of the leak but it wasn’t. The leak is in the metal line itself. I don’t think there’s a connector there but I could be wrong. Here’s a better pic of the specific area. Looks like two metal lines might connect there or that’s a bracket holding the lines.

Entire auxiliary radiator needs to be replaced in a vehicle with 590 miles on the odometer

The only time the system needs to be vacuumed down is if the system goes empty. It is a closed system where the reservoir is higher so air being trapped is a thing. that is why it needs to be vacuumed. However even with sucking the air out due to the design air can still get trapped. but if you have flow but have just lost some coolant you can top it off with distilled water. or by Mopar 50/50 mix ten year coolant. DO not mix with any other type of coolant as what is used IS OAT coolant. IF you don't use distilled water or correct coolant you can cause a chemical reaction and it will soup or gel the coolant. with the engine running the return line on the coolant bottle for blower you should see coolant flowing back into the bottle if you don't you have air in the system.

Yeah it’s already been to the dealer. Waiting on a part. Thanks

Do you have a part number? Got a low level IC coolant message today. Checked under the hood. Saw an empty IC tank. The main coolant tank was up to par. Went to the dealer, they added coolant. Left case # open for now. No fluids on the ground or any sign of leakage.
BTW - Got truck two weeks ago, 3k on odo. now. Haven't been posting like usual due to work/drive/sleep.....

Uh oh if no coolant on the ground that means your bricks maybe leaking into the chamber.
Don’t just keep adding coolant.

10 year pn is 68163849ab for 50/50

@RobR651 - happy to hear you found the issue. And thank you very much for posting it for all the folks who have received or are waiting to receive their truck.

The technician probably won’t like me very much based on the list of known issues I intend to have reviewed before I drive off the lot. But that’s okay, I’ve been called a lot of great names in my lifetime. 😂

Is anyone putting together a list of all the shit we need to check when picking up the truck? Apparently the factory and the dealer PDI cannot be trusted. I plan to be very thorough before signing anything.

The obvious ones are the suspension bolts and the fuses and relays. But now this and countless other problems as delivered.

There’s a master list most guys give the dealer on pickup day. The auxiliary radiator is part 68430020AA if that ends up being your issue. It leaves a noticeable small puddle under your truck if it’s leaking. At least mine did when it was leaking.

My PDI went well, and I towed a 30 ft trailer full of furniture to Connecticut from Detroit today, all rolling hills/mountains. Truck ran great, had no problem with the grades, but she was a thirsty Biatch. For those of you keeping track, yes I still have my Rex. Buyer was a flake that wanted to show up to my house, write a personal check, and leave with my truck. Ha!! Told him to send it prior to, let it clear, then pick it up. Couldn’t seem to understand why I would take such a stance. I’m keeping it, wife has been INFORMED!!!/I asked very nicely!!

Keep it man! I love mine

I nev

Never disliked mine, just seemed to make sense to get rid of a vehicle with all the current life changes. But not if that means I need to deal with...well you know!!! It’s gonna stay.
Glad to hear you are keeping it

Oh wow! Thank you for this and thanks to whoever made this document.

Looks like I'll be starting my own thread for my IC issue. I have discovered no visible leak of coolant. The dealer filled the IC tank a couple days ago and now it's empty again. I will be dropping it off for a loaner tomorrow.

Picked up my TRX from the dealer yesterday and right away the same message popped up on the dash messages. IC Level Low. Checked the IC Coolant tank and it was sitting right into between low and max. Took it back to the dealer today and a tech looked at it and said it was at the level it should be and no diagnostic codes. Bringing it back next week so he can spend some more time looking at it.

Sounds like it may have an air bubble. Because the IC system does not have a float sensor for level. So it guesses it’s low if it doesn’t see a temp change across the ic temp sensor located at the blower piping.

Mine too. Dealer said there was a service letter on the issue. He also said it was safe to drive as is until they could get the replacement part they needed. I keep my display on the I/C temp, and its been solid through 500 mi.
