I’ll preface in in California.

I’m basically out to purchase a fully loaded TRX.

Here’s what the first dealer “offered” me.

I like how they don’t even have the balls to say they’re charging me a dealer markup. They just added it to the price without saying anything then proceed to add a bunch of fake fees.

I haven't bought a vehicle in CA in over a decade. It's so much cheaper to buy out of state. Plus it's easier because the dealer will usually send a notary straight to your house to sign the paperwork instead of sitting at the dealership for hours. Although you do have to smog the vehicle yourself and go to DMV to register so actually kind of mixed bag there.

Actually I've had out of state dealers who have had services that work with the DMV so you don't have to go but not with my TRX.

Omg, that is insane! What is that a 15k admin. California dealers are nuts. That is a lot of money not to tell you they would add that on. What a slimy dealer.

For 140K there are plenty other badges you can get…. This truck is not worth that much.

It looks a lot better after I realized that $11k was taxes, but damn. Find one elsewhere.

I think for that 15k ADM you can find a better one and have it shipped.

I would simply walk away........or run as suggested.........

CA is nuts. When I was looking for a sandblast there were three of them - used - that were asking between 130-150k. I’m not sure why everyone in CA doesn’t just drive or fly a couple hours to save 20-40k.

It’s hard for me to criticize any prices dealers are listing or what our brother and sisters are paying because it is such an unknown right now with the end in sight. 🤟

Just to counter an argument…. I’m in CA as well… to buy a truck out of state and bring it in… got to have CA emissions sticker…. A lot of them don’t… I imagine you could probably shop around a bit…. But the supply of CA legal TRXs is shrinking…. With the opportunity to order them gone for now… if you want it…. Might be stuck paying a little over.

I’m fully convinced that stupid sticker is just a sticker with absolutely no changes to the emissions system.

Last new TRX in my part of the state was a yellow one, they had it at 5k over sticker. it's gone . I wouldn't pay over sticker but that's just my opinion. I'd buy a low mile used one first.

Everyone’s talking about ADM and bullshit.

I’m sitting here like “tire fee” 🤡🤡🤡

Seriously tho, if nothing sucks more than hidden markup, it’s California and the ass prodding fees and taxes. My advice is, buy it out of state and register. You’ll be fine just check the emissions sticker, the best way to get back at this and your state will be to spend your money elsewhere.
