I'm expecting delivery of my 2027 TRX toward the end of October and have been researching security options.

I've been speaking with an authorized IGLA installer and am trying to decide between two setups:

Option 1: IGLA Ultimate

  • IGLA Alarm with PIN immobilizer
  • Compass GPS tracking and phone notifications
  • Bluetooth siren
  • Shock, tilt, and motion detection
  • Additional glass-break sensor
Option 2: IGLA + Compustar

  • IGLA immobilizer
  • Compustar 9913-AS with PRO T13 two-way remote
  • Shock, tilt, and glass-break detection
  • DroneMobile GPS tracking and phone notifications
My main priorities are theft prevention, reliable intrusion detection, GPS tracking, and retaining my factory key fob, passive entry, and remote start.

I'm particularly interested in the IGLA Ultimate setup since it appears to offer everything in one integrated system. However, Compustar has a strong reputation, and I'm wondering whether there are meaningful advantages to running it alongside IGLA.

Has anyone here used IGLA Alarm with Compass and the Bluetooth siren? How reliable have the sensors, GPS tracking, and phone notifications been? Any issues with false alarms, connectivity, or battery drain?

I'd also be interested in hearing from anyone who's used both systems and can speak to how they compare in real-world use.

My installer is currently working with IGLA to confirm compatibility with the 2027 TRX. I've seen a few members mention already having IGLA installed on their 2027s, so I'd be interested in hearing about those installations as well, particularly whether factory remote start and all security features are functioning properly.

Appreciate any firsthand experiences or recommendations!

IGLA will stop a theft, the “ultimate” is garbage. I have boxes of that crap here because literally, nobody wants it, its over priced and service/reception is shit. You also get no remotes, remote start and cannot adjust your shock settings yourself. Compustar you can.
IGLA is also old tech. They haven’t updated anything and won’t. They just focus on those other modules nobody wants and it will be their downfall, well that and SPYNEX is better, easier to use and has a phenomenal app 🤷‍♂️
If you want a compass let me know, I will sell it to you far cheaper than they will. Costs them $130 and is 5 wires to connect. They charge $700 plus for that… I couldn’t even give them away when I was installing.
Stick with compustar. Better system, tech support, coverage and you get remote start and remotes.
