Figured I would make an easily accessible post on how to pair and use the app as well as do pin change mode ect.

Pairing the app is simple.

Download SPYNEX Control and make an account.

You can turn ignition to run, enter pin to get authorized to allow you to use the camera to scan the QR code to pair it or you can enter you serial number and unique 3 number secret pin.

In the app you will see the vehicle, when armed it will have a blue globe. To disarm you press the lock icon, even with ignition off.

For service mode you disarm it and press the wrench on the left side, even with ignition off.

There are 2 lines with dots to the right. That is the options menu where you can turn bluetooth fobs off, turn geolocation off and choose to arm with door open after shutting ignition off or with ignition off.

You will also see your serial and secret pin. Screenshot this and put in a folder or favorites.

You can also place into pin change mode below that.

The Send Custom Config and spot above it is so an installer can send you a unique algorithm that you can paste and send to change settings internally so you do not have to drive to an authorized dealer to change. Simply be within range of the vehicle, connect, paste and send to device.

You can also pair as many vehicles with spynex to your app as you want, fleets or you just own multiple vehicles. Same goes for phones, you can pair as many as you would like, just need to make a different account for each and not reuse the same email ect.

To use SPYNEX without the app.

You have the same type of authorization as you would IGLA, the bluetooth fob as well as pin code.

Ignition on or start if set to do so, enter pin, get your authorization flashes and drive away.

To change the pin its far easier and can even be done while started and even in gear. Ignition on/start, enter pin, then after your second indication you would press your service button 7 times within 20 seconds of authorization. You have 2 different service buttons. One is your dedicated service button, cruise on/off for example and then your first button of your pin. Say you had set +, set -, up arrow, down arrow. The set + is now your second service button. Say you had paddle shifter -, +, -, +. The paddle - is also your service button. Enter your new pin once in pin change mode, can be 2-6 buttons long. Get 3 indications and then put the pin in a second time to lock it in. If you put it in wrong the second time let it flash the 4 times and it will stay in pin change mode and try again. No need to cycle ignition off and repeat.

Service mode is basically the same, pin entered and press one of your 2 service buttons 5 times and get 5 indications. Or just open the app when in range, connect and place into service mode. Enter pin again to take it out or use the app when in range and connected. It will stay in service mode indefinitely until you take it out unless you want that auto exit feature on, then you tell the installer or myself and I will send your the algorithm to paste and send to it.

Emergency pin change is also far easier and can be done one of 2 ways. Open the app in range, connect and place into pin change mode or do it manually. Put to run (or start it), press your service button 7 times. You will get 1 indication. Then using your secret pin number you will enter it the same way. If 222 for example you will press the service button 2 times. It will indicate one time, press it the second number, 2 for example and it will indicate 1 time, press it the 3rd number, 2 for example and it will go into pin change mode. Enter new pin 2 times and done.

Very user friendly system with the same protection but much faster chipset.

Let me know if anyone has any questions.

Just had mine installed this weekend, the only buttons I can use for my PIN are three of the window controls and the left side of the screen (fan speed, climate mode, mute, etc.) Is this universal for all TRX’s or can I change my options? The installer mentioned the Hellcat Durango he did before mine could use all the steering wheel buttons and paddle shifters.

The Durango and all other Mopars minus new Ram 2025+ will have steering wheel buttons. They are on the previous can bus system. New Rams are on the new Can FD system and thus not the same.

My installer showed me the ones that were available, its the window controls and most of the buttons on the left side of the touchscreen (temp up/down, blower up/down, climate mode, mute)

Not a fan of having to actually move things like windows and vent actuators(which is what happens when you change temps or climates modes) to put in a pin.

Agreed, that was the first thing I thought about the window controls.

So what are our pin button options on the 27 TRX?

IGLA has window buttons, memory seats, cruise on/off and front demister. We have better button options and can only add whats on that can network. End of this month we will have a dual can unit and should be able to add some more button options.
Having an immobilizer and usable buttons regardless of what they are is far better than not having protection and it missing when you came back to where it was parked.
